Hey guys. I was talking with my partner the other day about what sort of music would be good for our dom/sub playtimes. We both love music and we both think, that with the right choices, it would really enhance our playtimes.

We both agreed that Massive Attacks earlier stuff would be good because it's dark, errie and slow.

Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated :p

Massive Attack is perfect. If I remember correctly, DJ Shadow has a similar sound. Portishead can be good...and Enigma can work well in some circumstances. Depends on mood. Nothing can beat Massive Attack, though... in my opinion. The Mezzanine cd is the best.
I googled this topic once and found some strange lists of choices. I guess it all depends upon the atmosphere and mood that you are looking for.
Have you ever gone to http://www.live365.com? They have an amazing selection of radio stations on there. Most of the stations are free, but have commercial interruptions. The subscription rates are so low, though, that it is worth getting. They have some really cool ambient & trance stations that work well for us.

Just kidding.

I like a lot of different music all up and down the music spectrum.

Here is a song that I wrote for a RP, I heard the main lyric in some sort of kids cartoon movie years ago but couldn't find it again. So I wrote it myself but this isn't for kids. LOL!

Playing It Safe With The Fiends of the Night and original song by FF and "Sue Hart."

*Bass, and sax join to merge into a fierce psychedelic funk rock tune, Keyboard jumps in, then drums, skimming along, throbbing out to the people, finally Sue makes her guitar soar into the mix. *

“Ready for this song? Hold on, now, to something. Tight!”

*Sue begins singing, a demanding vocal, to the words. Sweet at times, hard at others. *

“You knew what I was when you came here
Still you came trying to show no fear
Thought you could play a game
Everything would stay the same”

*Down beat progression. A sweet, almost soft, yet still menacing vocal now. *

“No, not this time, dear”

*Tune revs back up goes into over drive. Sue’s vocals are blistering now yet somehow seductive too. *

Refrain:

“If I’m going to Bite somebody
Why shouldn’t it be you?

If I’m going to suck somebody
Wouldn’t you like it to be you?

If I’m going to eat somebody,
It might as well be you.

If I’m going to drain somebody
Why not you?

If I’m going to pain somebody
I think it will be you.

If I’m going to turn somebody,
Don’t you wish it would be you?”

(Softer but still strident vocals here.)

“What did you think would happen here tonight?
What made you feel everything would turn out right?
When you play with the monsters, ask them to kiss and lick,
When you tell us your secrets, your desires, give us every little bit.”

*Down beat progression. Sweet, almost soft, yet still menacing vocal *

“No not this time. Everything won’t be all right.”

*Tune funks up harder, Sue’s voice hits, a metal kinda harshness to it now. The audience feels a stronger pull to the music, the words, almost like something is sliding over their skin. Naw, that has to be ones imagination. Right? *

“If I’m going to Bite somebody
Why shouldn’t it be you?

If I’m going to suck somebody
Wouldn’t you like it to be you?

If I’m going to eat somebody,
It might as well be you.

If I’m going to drain somebody
Why not you?

If I’m going to pain somebody
I think it will be you.

If I’m going to turn somebody,
Don’t you wish it would be you?”

(Blazes into last verse.)

“Now, are you scared or are you hot?
Both would be good, is your stomach in a knot?
Do you wish to be punished? Have you been bad?
Is my pain the best love you’ve ever had?

*Down beat progression. Sweet, almost soft, yet still menacing vocal again. *

No. Not this time. You haven’t even fought.”

*Drags out the last word, long, sounding disappointed and angry. *

A different approach

I hardly ever use music.

I use music if I do not want the sounds to penetrate the walls and frighten the neighbors, but do I pick a lot of music. The criteria is that it be loud enough to mask the loud moans and potential loud begging noises.

I use music to play though the headphones when I am doing sensory deprivation, and I do not want my subby to be able to hear what mischief I am up to. And it is usually something I make him choose, but I have final approval. I give him the criteria that is must be something that relaxes him.

Different strokes for different strokes.
