I just ordered three books from barnes and noble, does anyone have any idea, if they are good or not? I got one from Patricia Payne, and another two from Mistress Lorelei. Any ideas?

Hi vixen..

Umm.. What are the titles of the books you've ordered? Since you didn't mention them, it's hard to say if they're good or not. From what I've I've heard, Mistress Lorelei writes really good stuff, but I've never heard of Patricia Payne. (or maybe I have, but the name doesn't ring a bell, which doesn't bode well for her writing.)

The two from Mistress Lorelei, where "Mistress Manual" and "Charm School For Sissy Maids" The one from Patricia Payne is "Sex Tips From A Dominatrix". Any clues?

Are you looking for fiction or how to or both?

I know we're not supposed to plug websites other than this one, but Akasha of Akasha's web has always impressed me.

Basically, I wanted to see what was out there for domme's and if they were helpful. Considering that in most of society, this is frowned upon, I thought it best to bone up in my own home.

I have started reading Mistress Lorelei's "The Mistress Manual" and must say, it is an extremely well written piece of work. She makes many valid points, and offers quite a few insights that I had not seen before. All in all, I would definitely recommend this book to domme/dom. Even though it is written for the female dominant, there are many good points for the dom as well.

Mistress Manual is an old time favorite of many. There are many BDSM books out there, however none that directly focus on female domination.

I'm revamping my site sexslaveacademy.com which is already an online training course, to begin a more comprehensive manual that will eventually be published into an Ebook without the videos and audio. We’ll be shooting pictures and videos to add to our “How to” articles. I get a lot of email form people asking how to do something and it’s difficult to just tell someone. To my knowledge there isn’t a book that gives any step by step instruction using pictures.

What do you think women interested in female domination want to know about the most?

How to tie knots? Do CBT? Or… the mental dynamics?

I’d love to hear from you on this.

Hi Dancin,

I did compile a list of autobiographies of aberrant persons, including several dommes,

It's at

While I don't vouch for every item on the list, an autobiog has a slightly higher chance of being honest. I suspect that most 'how to' books are crap. (i.e, are written by journalists or commercial self-said dommes).

Dianna, the things I am more leaning towards boning up on, would be different forms of punishment, sissifying a transgeneder woman<who is still waiting for the last surgery>, and the mental aspects as well. The submissive I am thinking of taking on, has had no real formal training so I don't want to scare her, but on the hand, she needs a lot of work.
