Good-bye Incest

I entered the Incest/Taboo category last year while trying to fill in the blanks on my Survivor Contest score card. It wasn't easy. It's not category that interests me, however, that was the point of doing Survivor last year: accepting the challenge of writing outside of my comfort zone.

I never thought I could an Incest story. My break-through? Watching some hokey, b-caliber horror movie where the lead actors portrayed brother and sister. They played it straight. There wasn't a suggestion of incest between the characters, but it felt to me as if the actors were attracted to each other.

Oddly, I've experienced some of my highest scores with incest stories, perhaps a testimony for the power of that category for its fans. My highest scoring story as been the recent contest entry: Nude Day with Mom that currently sports a 4.80 rating.

I recently deleted a few comments from a couple stories - anonymous comments from someone enjoying the thrill of expressing their opinion in the same offensive manner on a wide variety of stories, regardless of a story's content. The comments were very similar to other anonymous comments I've deleted in past months, similar wording, similar inability to spell, etc. It has me reconsidering other posts. I know, I could turn off comments. (Heck, I probably should have turned off voting on several stories that seem to bob up and down between 4.48 and the almighty red "H" rating.)

My world feels like less than a happy place and that's random bullshit I don't need.

There was a TV show (American Dreams? took place during Vietnam) where the oldest brother and sister of the family were supposed to be close, but I swear the actor and actress were looking to bone the hell out of each other. It was kind of creepy, and that is coming from someone that writes a lot of incest stories.

I have to admit I have recieved some disturbing feedback.

The type that almost made me sorry I wrote the story

But the majority of the people comment on it as the fun fantasy it is meant as and I don't let the sickos get to me. They were sick long before they read my story

I also ignore the hypocrisy of the people telling me how sick I am. After all what are they doing there in the first place?


But I have no doubt if I wanted to be "cured" of writing incest all it would take is reading through the incest is best thread in the fetish forum.
