I know this is going to sound really stupid so feel free to say DUH! but i just noticed that photobucket pictures are shared unless you set your album to private. YIKES!!!!!! I never browsed around photobucket itself i always just logged in and fooled with my stuff/pics and then leave. I thought each account was already private. I noticed you could search images and i started looking up different stuff and it dawned on me "i wonder if you can get to my images YES!!!!!!!!! YIKES!!!!!!!! MY WHOLE ALBUM!!!!!! and suffice it to say my album does not include pictures of cute little puppy dogs (note forum i'm on) nuff said

My dashboard said i've been getting 2,000 hits a month. Is that alot? Should i be worried? EEEEKKK....

Well, DUH! I just had to do it. Sorry. But, it seems you are not only pet to one, but to many. I have never been to photobucket, myspace or any of the other shared sites. Yes, I said shared. I guess I just have nothing to share...unlike yourself.

What you should be concerned about is that if one of their censors finds you have broken the terms of not posting explicit images they may possible close your account as well as culling any they deem 'inappropriate'. I have lost quite a great deal of fine art erotica based on the fact that the less than discerning eyes that police the site aren't overly concerned with the finer points of what discerns art from pornography.

It still confuses the Hell out of me that a portrayal of gratuitous violence passes muster while , the human form unadorned hits the culling room floor.

You may also want to consider any backgrounds in images that may convey more personal information to potential predators than is prudent for your own safety. Images are easily enhanced in simple programs to clarify details that may not seem as initially evident.

If you need to use random images and do not require album status and they are fringing erotica I might suggest you consider imagevenue.com . They are not private , however if you do not title the image accurately they are unlikely to come up in any search functions . You also do not need to keep a registered account for that site which may also be advantageous in certain circumstances . I keep a photobucket account for things that will most likely be left in tact . The former for the more risque.

Check out www.fotki.com. You have a 'private folder' and you can make all your other folders password protected - in case you wanna share.

Thanks for the links, i'll check them out i'll probably move some stuff around i don't get how their censors work anyway. They deleted some of my stuff but not others that were equally as graphic w/bondage & nudity. You would think that if the censors randomly scanned pixs, that when they got to someone like me, a bell would go off in their head to maybe look at the rest of my stuff in my album?

....and so far i've haven't had any pics deleted from my NEW and IMPROVED hosting site. I spent last night moving pics....jeez! but i like it better already!
