Ok so I went on a date tonight. Nothing fancy, just exploratory chit chat over dinner. My ex and I broke up over 6 months ago and it was pretty hard on me. I know that she is still on my mind every day, but I also know that I must move on with my life. Anyways, as I was driving home I noticed my ex's car parked in the Blockbuster video parking lot that's 1 (yes ONE) block away from my apartment. By the way she lives miles away from me, there'd no really no real excuse as to why she's out this far. So here's my thought. Was she there to rent a video and to check up on me? (you can see my apartment window from the street) OR was she there with her new b/f (I don't know if she has a new b/f) and he just happens to live right near me? Either way, it's totally weird. I didn't stay long enough to see her walk out, I was very tempted though. But I realized that it would hurt me anyways. And this had to happen on the night of my date??? Thanks God, you're a champ.

You got it easy..

My ex left to be with my supervisor in the military, taking my kid to be raised by him. For two years, I routinely worked in the same plot room (I was a laison) with him separated by two feet, me with a commando M-16, 30 round magazine locked and loaded, and him with a puny .38! (It was tempting) I would see my ex pick him up from work with my kid in tow, off to their happy home.
So, it could be worse, shine it on! :D

Well, a bit off tangent, but following the God has a quirky sense of humor thread...

I called in sick at work one day. A guy I was seeing at the time called at the last minute and asked me out to dinner. We were sitting in a hotel restaurant and I heard rowdy laughter and hoots rising from a couple of tables away. Turned out to be my boss and several other guys from work. At least I didn't get docked the next day, but I heard all about how "sick" I was for months after.

Hope you're over her, both of you.
