God Damn The Snow

Mother Nature thought it would be funny to dump 2 feet of snow all over the midwestern United States two days ago.

What is NOT funny is that now I will not see my stepchildren for Christmas, as they live an hour away and their county and all 4 surrounding counties are under emergency status. And even though the highway is clear, their mother won't let us come get them, for fear we'll run off the road or get stuck or some shit.

Everything is ruined now.

Fuck the snow.

Man. We had a day and a half of rain, and the first 'brown Christmas' for better than a decade. We could have absorbed some of that snow, easy. And been happy to have it.

You could go anyway...

Even if their mother won't let you get them, if the highway's clear you could still go and see them.

Your post sounds to me like it would be worth it to you to do that even if that 1 hour trip takes 3 hours each way.
