Sad thing is, here in Memphis, women are asked to wear something covering our nipples such as tape, “so we can protest our cause and still remain inside the law", or risk arrest.

“Men are encouraged to sport pasties or bikini tops to highlight the absurdity of society’s restrictions on women."

Will you be posting a topless pic to celebrate?

Well, I have to work in an office today, so that leaves me out of the fun! :(

Would love to see the topless goings on in that one place in Saskatchewan, though! :D

Where is it 'legal' for females to go topless in the US?
Asheville, NC
Austin, TX
Boulder, CO
Columbus, OH
Eugene, OR
Honolulu, HI
Keene, NH
Madison, WI
New York City, NY
Portland, OR
Santa Fe, NM
Washington, DC

But laws on female public toplessness are so inconsistent, it is downright ludicrous.

Not only do they vary from state to state, but also from city to city within each state; so while 28 states legally protect a woman's right to go out in public without a top on, many cities within that state have local ordinances that classify a topless woman in public as someone engaging in "disorderly conduct" and subject to fines and other penalties.

For example, female toplessness is legal in California, but in Los Angeles's Venice, topless female sunbathing remains illegal.

Saskatoon will have a high temp of 67F. Alexandria MN will have a high temp of 64F. Minneapolis will have a high temp of 68F.

Those nipple covers will be peeling off from the pressure.

You make a great point. "Go Topless Day" has an extra special appeal in northern latitudes. :)

Not too much of an issue for me, as I'll be at the clothing-optional beach in Port Burwell.

Okay, Donna, riddle me this.

I went on YouTube and I watched several of the past GTDs. Good crowds, nice protest signs and speeches and the girls were giving smart interviews.

But if it is all about battling objectification and having people stare at you, why do they all pose for selfies with a chorus line of perverted gawkers? C'mon, a huge percentage of that photography has nothing to do with media coverage, ya know?

I like the "men's option" of this. I think its important to show support. If they did something here I'd get me the most ridiculous paisies I could find for the day.

 In the UK this is a pastie. Mmmmm...Gregg's pasties, yum!

It has been reported that Milla Jovovich is mad for Gregg's Cheese Pasties, no doubt due in part to the influence of her partner, Newcastle-born film director Paul W. S. Anderson, maker of the Resident Evil series amongst other things - why-aye man! :D

Those are pastries. Brits can't say their "r"s properly, so now they misspell it.

I can't speak for anyone but myself, but my opinion is, how much news coverage (pun unintended) would you get without the show?

Would we even be talking about it?

The city made arrest threats that cancelled the Naked Bike Ride here last Friday. I'm always nekid under my riding kit.

Admittedly so. I'm just saying that if the whole point of the protest is reflective of a woman's discomfort with obsessive attention to her boobs, then I would expect to see a little more of that discomfort displayed in the protest itself. Instead of "say-it-loud-I'm-naked-and-proud" I would expect to see more of an attitude and specific comments that said, "Hey, I'm doing this with a degree of reluctance and not to GET attention but to desensitize social attitudes about nudity, and until that desensitization is evident, I will tolerate media and amateur photography, but I will draw the line at posing WITH and FOR amateurs who in all probability, wish to have the photos to jack-off to."

Does that make sense?
