Glossary of terms

Would it be possible for some of the site experts,to share their pearls of wisdom about the shorthand text that is used here?
I'm sure many new members and other site visiters may have more to say,if they knew just want was being said.
Great site so i@m hanging around anyway.

the most common shorthand notations I see here are:

RL or IRL: In Real Life
LOL: Laughing Out Loud
ROTFLMAO: Rolling On The Floor, Laughing My Ass Off.

Most of the rest are easy to pick up from the context.

Another couple of common ones appear to be Imao =
ty = I presume from context this is "to you"
I sign off BBFN = bye bye for now.

ps to last note rereading wierd harold makes Imao into Lmao =laughing my ass off.
And they said that the on site training was no good,my brain worked this one out.

Ezzy, my apologies for the feeble at humor at your expense. I am also mystified by some of the abreviations that I have seen on the BB (that one is pretty obvious). If you ever get a comprehensive list together, how about posting it so there will be a reference for us dummies who can't figure them out on our own?

Open you word processor in another window. compose your message in the word processor, then cut and paste into the message reply form.

I only do it for long posts. Most people recognise the fact that there's no spell check in the BB, so they don't mind a few typos.
