It was 9 o'clock on a Saturday night in late September. Jason "Jake" Daniels was back in his small office, the invitation envelope slowly being twirled in his hands like somehow it would figure out the answer he had been wrestling with over a week. Should he go back, would she be there, would it matter?

Danville High School would be celebrating its 25th reunion in two weeks. He laughed sarcastically, 25 years ago he had been the biggest thing to hit Danville High School in, well...ever. Today he was the subject of the "whatever happened to" question, that he wanted to kill the person who next asked. He had taken the small high school to its only state title in school history, before or since, and he had just announced his decision to commit and presumably be the next star quarterback, at THE Ohio State. Jim Tressel was the new coach, and when he met with Jake, they were both confident he was the future of the storied football program, and he was quite confident he would start as a freshman, and probably be a first round NFL draft pick three years later. Good student, great athlete, charming, he was the entire package. His future was set, everyone knew it,certainly everyone in Danville knew it. The "future" lasted 5 practices.

He was running a simple quarterback bootleg, the quarterback running out to his left or right with a run pass option. He wasn't even hit, he just planted wrong in the turf and the tendons in his knee gave, a total and complete blow out, and the inside of his knee looked more like a plate of spaghetti than the knee of a future first round pick. Medical technology was not what it is today, and the doctor was firm and quick with his diagnosis. He won't play football again, he should walk again, arthritis would likely start impacting him significantly before he was 30.

Devastated, he stopped attending class, attending life, despite the efforts of coaches and officials. He flunked out after the first semester, and thus began a 15 year tailspin of too many pain killers, too much alcohol and too much self loathing. As he sat in a jail cell in Columbus for drunk and disorderly, it was actually Tressel, who found out he was there, and gave him the thorough, "come to Jesus" ass kicking he had needed. The next 5 years were a combination of rehab and recovery, he got a job as a local bartender in Columbus, became the manager, then partner, and now as of 6 months ago, he was the sole owner of Buckeye Bar and Grill.

He looked down at the envelope, did he really want to answer all of the questions again, relive the glory which only brought back the utter disappointment of promise unfulfilled. He knew how the story ended. But then again he thought of Mary Anne, his high school sweetheart, the girl who they took each other's virginity, the only girl he really ever loved. He had to get this romantic sht out of his mind...now who was caught in the Glory Days? He opened the drawere and was just about to "file" the invite when his cell phone rang with a number he didn't recognize....

"Jake?" a voice from the past reached out and grabbed Jake by the old memories.

"Mary Ann?" he said in disbelief.

"Jake Daniels, as I live and breath" her country voice was a breath of fresh air. "How the hell are ya?" she asked in her usual bravado. Mary Ann was homecoming, or as Jake liked to call her the "cumming queen" of his backseat. She was petite with big tits and cheerleaders ass that made the men and boys drool. She had died blonde hair that she would wear in a ponytail most of the time.

"Yeah I am back in Danville. Hell I hardly left. How about you? Don;t worry about the past. I forgave you years ago for leaving me here. Water under the bridge." she told him. "You coming to reunion? You better!" she was chipper as ever and he could hear that eighteen year old he loved so much, before Coach Tressel and his cheerleaders brought Jake to Columbus for a visit, or did they call it an orgy?

"No not married, well not any more" she said with the laugh of someone who had been through some "experiences" and lived to tell the tale.

"So, can I tell Wanda you are a definite?" she asked. "Yeah Wanda still lives here. Married Greg the day after he joined the Marines and they have been together ever since. It sure is good to hear your voice Jake" she said thinking back on the high lights of her life under the Friday night lights, arm in arm with Jake, the hottest prospect and greatest guy ever to grace Danville High. Mary Ann was surprised how horny she was just talking to him. Hell she was doing most of the talkin'.

"I can't wait to see you Jake. You're not married now are ya? I was hoping we might drive out to the lake as some point and I could give you one of my patented Mary Ann specials" she said as she ran her hand down between her thighs thinking of the nights out there so many years ago.

"Bye now" Mary Ann said as she turned off her phone and put it on the kitchen table, in her mobile home outside time.

Meanwhile in Chicago Margret McCook "Maggie" to her friends, was reviewing some of the latest code reviews from her dev team. She had started this company just after college. She had left Danville as soon as she got her hands on her diploma and started a job that summer in Chicago with the Computer science professor at the University of Chicago. He had taken a special interest in Ms McCook and invited to her come up for a paid internship. She was a coding wiz and had the personality and people skills to go far. And after six months she realized Professor James was after more than her code.

Maggie is a five foot six one hundred and ten pound brunette running a start up after taking her last venture public and eventually vested and cashed out. She missed the thrill, the day to day life on the edge of tech start ups. Zillow had started on a bar napkin like many great companies do and grew and grew until it was no fun. Maggie was not interested in money and went back to her roots, code. She had started looking into machine learning and robotics when AOL was still around. "Automated Thoughts" was a stealth mode start up that she and a few coding buddies had doing some pretty amazing things. VCs knew her and wanted in but she refused. Rich enough to self fund and smart enough to know when to let her partners cash out.

Her assistant, Kim, had left a pile of mail on her desk and left for the weekend. Maggie usually went through it like some people read the Sunday paper. She noticed a curious icon that flashed back to high school. "Danville Mustangs Reunion"

She opened the invite and looked at the cheap typesetting and usual lack of imagination in the design. She made a note that it was so old it looked interesting.

"Twenty five years?" she thought to herself Her memories were not good, as any geeky girl in a country high school might expect. She was curious. She could roll in with her Escalade and driver and show all those putz's what they missed out on. She laughed to herself then an alert on her screen brought her attention back to reality, or at least work.

IN that Escalade on her way home she was looking at her calendar and saw two weeks she had nothing on the weekend.

"Charles, you busy the weekend of the 21st? 2 weeks from today?" she asked her driver.

"No mam" he replied.

"Well pack your bags, we are going to Danville!" she said with a laugh.

She texted Kim, "get the best hotel within 10 miles of Danville for 21st, 22nd of this month, I know it will not be up to my standards please handle the details, the invitation to the reunion is on my desk somewhere, RSVP. You may have to get an actual stamp or something ti communicate with them :)"

As the date grew nearer she pulled out her old yearbook she somehow did not burn. She flipped through and finally saw him.

"Asshole #1" she said as she took a long draw of the bourbon she was drinking. "See if there is anything you want to say now jockstrap!" She flipped on through the book and stopped at the band. A smile grew over her face as she saw her. She grabbed her phone and texted Kim.

"Find Beth Klinger and tell her Maggie wants to meet up at the 25th reunion in Danville next weekend. If she declines find where she lives and send a first class ticket and instructions that a car will pick her up and book her a room next to mine, wherever that is. Get her there."

"This is gonna be epic" she thought as the only person who got worse treatment than her, was poor Beth, her only friend from high school.

"Jake Daniels, as I live and breath" He smiled, when he first heard his name, he could barely believe it, 'Mary Ann?" but the second sentence sent a warm, tingly sense of anticipation, he hadn't felt in...hell he couldn't remember when.

He figured he had broken her heart, and was too humiliated to come back to her broken after leaving the hero. He remember how she looked into his eyes, and he hers, they were it, Prom King and Queen...the couple most likely to...everything...yet somehow nothing. She had been his first everything...real kiss, each of the bases...and finally their virginity. He didn't really believe in soul mates, or anything corny like that. He always assumed he would find another, feel the pasoin and utter sense of invincibilty he had felt with her...in the back seat, even one time on the hallway floor just outside her parent's bedroom, the first time he took her anally. God that had been a rush, so near to getting caught, doing something that at that age felt so dirty and taboo.

Girls had thought he was stuck up as they flirted, or were simply nice, and he seemed to reject him. It wasn't that, he was just in love, and she completely satisfied him, granting his every wish, and treating him to things she researched and wanted to try to make sure her man's eye never wandered. That and football, as from the time he could crawl he thought he was destined for the NFL, and getting the grades his parents insisted on, just left room for nothing else. He apparently broke hearts, but he never really knew it, but he knew he broker hers, and he had beaten himself up more times over that than she would ever know.

She answered his key question, "No not married, well not any more" , and he smiled. He never had been, never even considered it. His mind was whirring, was this a possibility, he had to know They say you can't go home again, but could he? "Yes, tell Wanda I'm a definite". He felt his heart beating since the last time he had been on a football field. "I can't wait to see you Jake. You're not married now are ya? I was hoping we might drive out to the lake as some point and I could give you one of my patented Mary Ann specials" He was blown away, he had thought about this ever since he saw the invitation, however at this moment, he was tongue tied, the years, the failures had stripped that once inpenetrable bravado, "Me too Mary Ann, I can't tell you how many times I've thought back to the lake, you...and us....bye."

He hung up the phone and looked in the mirror. He was glad he had two weeks, he sure as hell wasn't the conquering hero, but he was still good looking and with two weeks of working out, like he knew he could if the stakes were high enough, he would at least look like the man she remembered, or at least had once thought he would become!

Ellis Kirkland had weighed 160 pounds when he had graduated from Danville HS. The valedictorian he had been so excited to leave the mundane midwest town behind and head off to Stanford. A manipulative little prick, he had been the only guy to flatter Maggie, and finally convinced her to let him pop her cherry, his too.
Sex was so much different than masturbation he came in less than 15 seconds, barely having gotten inside her and broken her hymen.

Mission accomplished he headed off to a math competition seminar at Cal Tech right after graduation, and then straight to Stanford, never looking back. He had worked in an entrepreneurial studies program, winning a competition as a Sophomore, and with $100,000 of angel funding, he quit school with visions of being the next Bill Gates or Michael Dell. Unfortunately, Ellis was a horny little fucker, and when investors realized he had used some of his money on escorts in San Francisco, the dream died a sudden death.

To his credit, Ellis realized the error of his ways, and found God. Born again, he had moved from job to job as people still didn't fully recognize his brilliance. Ellis today was nearly 100 pounds heavier than graduation.

This reunion was exactly what he needed. He had done a bit of research on his old flame. While he had tracked her professionally, he was thrilled to see she did not appear to be attached. He hoped for a moment together, there was maybe a chance to rekindle that flame, and more importantly, who knew Ellis' real skills better than the Silicon Valley wonder girl. He needed a job! Thank God for Linked In, tracking her down, he sent her a message "Maggie, it has been far too long, I hope you will be attending the reunion...us former geeks have to stick together, I can't wait to see you again. Until then! - E"

Anton Skolnik received his invitation and, the former Swedish foreign exchange student was intrigued. He had been a novelty for the year he spent at Danville. While everyone was nice to him, he might as well have been from Mars for how different he was. Luckily in college, his nordic genes had finally taken root and the six foot two norsemen, with the icy blue eyes, and flowing blonde mane took form.

He knew now, he would again be an anomaly. In high school, he had mastered automotive shop, and those around him had assumed he was going into the trades. Little did they know he had the artistic sense of a young Damián Ortega, and his modern sculpture works now sold for anywhere from mid six figures to low 7 figures, and could be found in many of the top art museums in the world. 'What the hell' he thought, it might be fun to see these people again. He had never had a lot of friends, and there were the goths who had taught him to first smoke pot. It would be fun to see what happened to any of them. He made plans, his net jet would fly in Friday morning and fly out Sunday. Reminiscing would be fun, but two days would be plenty. He would bring the good stuff, a special thank you for those interested.

Maggie had not forgotten about Ellis. She had let him take her virginity, although he was barely able to. She did not hold a grudge since things had worked out well for her, but she was curious. The cross icon on his emoji was an interesting change she thought.

"Yeah we will have to catch up." she texted back.

It was a total blast from the past as Danville had, well, evolved since the early nineties. All the mom and pops places were vacant and new shiny chains had filled in the empty fields. The car pulled into a two story Marriott Courtyard, as Kim had prepared Maggie for.

"Top shelf" she laughed to herself as she walked in with the driver baring her laptop bag and suitcase. "Thank you James" she said to the local twenty something. She peeled off a twenty and said "see you Sunday?"

The overweight driver's expression was that of someone who had never seen a twenty dollar bill let alone have one of his very own.

"Yes Mam!" he said with a salute before returning to his Honda Pilot with an Lyft light prominently placed on the dash.

Maggie checked in and went to her room. It was as assbackward as she imagined. She got a chuckle comparing her life with this town.

She knocked on the connecting door between her room and the room she had for Beth. No answer. Beth had not been planning to come but when Kim offered to pay and explained Maggie really wanted to see her, she agreed.

"I wonder what she looks like now?" Maggie wondered as she hung up her jacket and pulled a bottle of Makers Mark from her bag. She was wearing black slacks and a white blouse. She pulled her laptop out and began looking at email as she sipped her whiskey.

"Everyone here is so fat" she thought as she stood and looked out the window onto the parking lot as an enormous couple pulled their suitcases from their century old Camry.

"Where are you?" Maggie texted Beth getting antsy to see her. She had had a crush on Beth in high school, although she would never act on it. It had fired many an orgasm over the last week. To be honest remembering a lot of her high school classmates brought back all kinds of impractical but very hot fantasies.

When you had been caught with your nerdy, needy, cock quite literally in the cookie jar, Ellis had thought threw his options. He could try to become a hacker, he had the technical skills, but the idea of high security federal prison scared him more than anything. At first he was bitter, he was a boy wonder, who cared if he had secured professional assistance, he had been to Menlo Park parties, and had seen other scrawny tech geniuses like himself with women who had to be pros. The issue wasn't the solicitation of the high end escorts, it was the brazenness of paying from the Swipe.com checking account directly. Fuck around all you want to, but never fuck with your investors.

Ellis had always been a schemer, changing his grades in high school picking up the last tenth of a point to become Valedictorian, and now he needed to come up with plan, he needed a partner to help cleanse his resume, forgive his sins, and so he turned to GOD. As egregious as his sins were in the eyes of the venture capital firms who dotted Sand Hill Road in Menlo Park, as he looked at his brethren in the Born Again community, he was a veritable boy scout. That had been 20 years ago, and Ellis wondered if his sentence would ever end. He got the response from Maggie, "Yeah we will have to catch up." He smiled, wondered if the bullshiit cross on his email had turned the trick. It didn't matter she wanted to see him, she had fallen for him before, she was all about the mind, not the body, he felt like he was back in high school, ready to seduce her again.

Jake pulled into the Marriott Courtyard on Friday afternoon, the game would be that night, and the 25th Anniversary team of the only State Championship in the history of the Danville Carpenters would be honored, and Jake's jersey retired. He had asked them to skip it, but they would not take no for a reaction, so he paid oa bit more than he should have for the Courtyard, the only hotel with a bar in town and he was sure the boys would want to get together somewhere, and then there was Mary Jane.

He watched a stunning brunette check in four people ahead of him, who the hell was she, there was no one he had gone to highschool who looked like that. Then he realized, there were likely to be surprises both ways, and the pleasant ones were likely to be in the minority. He had on a baseball cap and sunglasses, wanting to just get to his room and get a shower before the "whatever happened to..." began in earnest. He was prepared, and hoped people accepted the man he was now...he had shelved his ego long ago....he hoped others respected that and weren't too disappointed when he had no desire to relive every minute of the heyday.

As he got out of the elevator he realized the brunette was right across the hall from him, he smiled, well things could be worse!

*******

Beth had checked in early, she didn't get many nights in a hotel like that, but since her uber successful high school friend was picking up the tab, she was going to enjoy it. In her yoga pants and sports bra that hid little of her rocking body, the aerobics instructor go off the next elevator after Jake. And just as he had seen Maggie she saw him, he cold have worn stage make-up and she would have recognized him.

Maybe it was the cold water, dripping from her bottled water, or the sweat from her considerable workout drying on her skin, or maybe it was just him, but she felt her nipples harden, and she licked her lips. He was right across the hall. He disappeared before she could accelerate enough to "bump" into him. My God, how man times as she had brought that flute to her lips in marching band had she fantasized it was the cock of the star quarterback she was wrapping her lips around and tonguing his reed. She knew he had never noticed her then, who did, but now, she had worked her ass off, and men damn near got in accidents as she walked across the street in her short dress, flashing her cable steel like legs. He might not have noticed then, but he would now...if only for one night!

She opened her and heard Maggie next door and knocked. Huge grins on both of their faces the two women hugged, and the combo was stunning. They broke with their arms still around each other, Beth was beaming...she was pointing across the hall...nervously giggling like Maggie had forgotten but now remembered and smiled. Beth's eye twinkled in excitement..."He's right across the hall...Jake Daniels is right across the hall...Maggie tell me, did you somehow arrange that!?!?"

It was like twenty five years had disappeared except they were both way hotter and much more confident then back in the day. The two women hugged each other like long lost friends, which they were.

"God you look awesome!" Maggie said stepping back and taking in Beth in her perfect body covered in Lycra.

Beth smiled and looked her old friend up and down and said " you are looking pretty hot yourself." There was a moment of discomfort as neither woman was a lesbian or even had bi experience but they could not deny an attraction.

"Jake?" Maggie said as a flood of memories came back, mostly bad.

"Yeah!" Beth said excitedly, "the quarterback, the stud muffin?" she said as her body reacted to twenty five, well more like thirty years of fantasizing.

"Well I guess we better catch up now cause it looks like from the looks of you, he doesn't have a chance" Maggie said with a smile.

Beth blushed, still the band member at heart. "Yeah I am sure he is here with some smoking hot something," she said looking a little dejected.

"Beth, you look incredible. If I had that body and face and hair, I would probably not have invited you as my date." Maggie said trying to sound complimentary but really just amped up the attraction between them.

"I better shower, that game is tonight and I am supposed to play in the band" Beth said turning as Maggie became conscious of how she saw her old friend as something so attractive.

"OK I will be here" she smiled lifting her glass.

Mary Ann was primping as she had been all day. The fifty pounds she had put on since high school were not going away with any combination of make up and outfit but she was still the egotistical rock star cock sucker worthy of any man.

She was sitting in her trailer putting on eye liner and drinking a Lite beer. She took a drag of her cigarette and fantasized of having Jake in the back seat and hearing him grunt the way he did when he came as she sucked him off.

"Jake baby you are in for a treat!" she said as she got up and grabbed her purse and headed out to her beat up pick up.

There was a tailgate for the reunion before the game and that was where she was headed. She pulled her phone out of her bag and texted Jake, "heading to the tailgate. see you there."

Ellis was staying at a little fleabag motel, in fairness, other than the Courtyard, which had been a Godsend, the other four places to stay in Danville were all fleabag hotels that would have been somewhat outdated in the 1960's let along more than a half a century later. He smiled as he saw the quarter fed magic fingers machine on the side of the bed. What an antique, but if tonight did not go well, and he couldn't share his new born seed with Maggie or some other woman wanting to take a whirl on the ex valedictorian, he just might take this old massaging bed for a whirl or two.

He showered and put on jeans and texted Maggie a message, "Any chance I might see you at the tailgate, or at the game. I can't believe I am finally going to a silly football game, but what else does one do at reunions, I am more than open to options? - E"

*******

Jake unpacked and hung up his clothes, and set the rest of the things in the drawers, he had learned to care for himself, become responsible and organized. He liked being independent, and he was still driven, but his expectations were realistic, he expected nothing to be given to him, those days were long since gone, thank God! He answered Mary Jane's text, "sure" but he was already having second thoughts. Those were nice memories but he was not that guy anymore, and just like the game tonight, he was not as interested as someone might think in reliving the glory days, he had a life, he was happy, it was time to make new memories.

He wanted to take a shower before heading over to the tailgate, he knew this might well turn into a long night. He went to the sink and "shit!" there was no soap. Two of everything else, but no soap. If he had to he could use shampoo, but he would prefer not.

He opened his door flipping the latch to keep it open and unlocked and scoured the hall hoping the bedding maid cart might still be visible, but nothing. He then heard the mini celebration of higher pitched laughter, it sounded like a reunion of old friends, how appropriate. The noise quickly stopped, and he could have knocked on either door, but he chose the one on the left he had seen the brunette enter. He sill had on his baby blue button down, casual, but it did show off his tan, and the highlights in his soft, gentle grey eyes. At least he was appropriately covered as he knocked softly on her door.

The woman who opened the door was even more stunning, than he had thought. She had a most natural and subtle touch of class, so rarely observed in this town, or by most any woman Jake came across. He smiled and noticed the glass of brown liquid in her hand, the bottle of Maker's on the TV stand behind her, he politely started to extend his hand, "I applaud your choice in alcohol, Maker's is one of my favorites. My name is Jake Daniels, and I am here for my reunion, and our innkeepers here seem to have forgotten to provide me with soap, is there any chance they might have given you an extra bar, I could have? I will call down and make sure more is brought up to both of us..." The more he looked at her face, there was something familiar, but surely he would have remembered any woman who looked like this...he simply smiled and awaited her response.

Maggie had had too many shocks that could never happen happen to be flustered by Jake.

"Come in, have a drink" she said opening the door and hoping Beth would be quick. "I will look for some soap" she said making a joke of it. "This is not a prison shower I hope" she said with her usual crass caustic sense of humor one gets working with rooms full of undersexed young men.

She returned with bar in hand and smiled at Jake now sitting in the chair by the window.

"Jake Daniels? That name rings a bell but not sure..." Maggie said with a devilish look in her eye under her long brown hair falling over her eye.

"Hey I know how we can get him" suddenly erupted as Beth bounded into the room wearing a towel around her torso, barely covering either end and one wrapped up her hair. She froze seeing Jake in the chair, as a big smile filled his handsome face.

"Oh good Beth, this is, what's your name again?" she said playing with the ex-football star.

"Jake" he said, his eyes unable to come away from Beth.

"Oh, hey, sorry thought you were alone" Beth said and disappeared back into her room and closed the door. Maggie smiled putting the soap on the table between them and taking her seat.

"Sure I'd love one...thank you!" He was surprised that she invited him in. He realized he had forgotten what a small and friendly little town this was, but she did not look like she was from around her, or within a hundred miles of here. He laughed at her off color joke, "well if it is prison, I am pretty thrilled with my cell mates!" As soon as he said it he regretted it, she was just being nice and the last thing she needed was him flirting.

She came back in and he just tried to be polite, get the soap and leave before he made a fool of himself. "Jake Daniels? That name rings a bell but not sure..." He was not offended, rather he breathed a sigh of relief. He was just about to explain, when the hot, nearly naked blonde hopped in. "Hey I know how we can get him"

He laughed at her reaction to seeing a man there, as her attire clearly suggested she thought the were alone. The classy brunette still didn't recognize him, so as she struggled, he piped up, "Jake". Try as he might, he couldn't help but let his eyes travel up and down her incredible body and then once again. The sexy woman was embarrassed of her near naked state, although Jake didn't mind at all. She was smoking and he was still a man, a man whom it had been a while, hence a new problem literally arose as his cock hardened bursting against the zipper of his jeans.

"Who was that...are you two roommates...and whoever he is, is one lucky man!" He looked at her, "I'm sorry, it is none of my business. I am not surprised you don't remember me. I was way too focused on playing football and dating my high school sweetheart, I wish I could do it over again and built some real friendships."

He meant that, but couldn't help but notice the quizzical look on her face. "Anyway I'm Jake, but I don't think I caught your name...." and then his eyes looked in the direction of the wake left by the blonde bombshell's departure, "...or your friends?"

*******

Ellis showed up earlier than he realized to the tailgate. Wearing jeans, a blazer and cowboy boots, he was doing his best to hide his 40 inch waist. There were only a handful of people here this early, and none that he really recognized. Events like this really needed nametags.

There was one woman, and her face seemed somewhat familiar, a bit more makeup, gave her a bit of trashy look, particularly in combination with her mousy brown hair. But her face, there was something so familiar...she was looking in every direction, probably waiting for her husband. He looked closer, nope, way to excited for a husband. Suddenly it clicked, it couldn't be...but yes, it was..."My God Mary Jane...as I live and breathe" They had never talked in high school, she was alway focused on that muscle head. They had taken a picture for the year book. The valedictorian and the homecoming queen...the picture became known as the beauty and the geek. He had so wanted her, but what in God's name had happened to her?

Maggie smiled as Beth blushed and disappeared.

Jake announced his name, like they should really care after the treatment they got in high school. Maggie continued to play dumb.

"Margaret, Margret McCook" she said looking deep into his eyes like she did when she told some hot shot coder that his app was hacked and she was about to take every penny of seed funding back including his car and San Fransisco condo. She could hold a grudge and the comments and laughing at her had built up over the years.

Jake appeared not to even recognize the name. "Are you here for the reunion?" he asked.

Maggie resisted saying "yeah dumb ass" but politely said "yes."

Beth interrupted now in jeans and a "Danville high band" grey tee shirt that back in the day had billowed over her not revealing her true assets, but now clung to her perfect body in an almost erotic way.

"Well hey Jake" Beth said in her best local accent. She was playing with him and she knew it. Between her intellect and body she could wrap nearly any man anywhere she wanted. "Beth Klinger" she said reaching out to shake his hand. "You may remember me as the clarinet player you laughed at throughout high school?" Maggie laughed at Jake's expression as he took her hand.

As Jake had said his name, he had been thrilled that she didn't recognize, him, although he was surprised. Back in the day, he had been almost impossible to avoid, no matter how little interest you had in football. They had given his stats every Monday over the loud speaker and the day he won the USA Today national prep football player of the year award, it had been given in front of a total school assembly. 'Thank God' he thought, she was probably in art or high or whatever but one less person to explain to or feel ashamed...he stopped, fuck that, he wasn't ashamed. He had tried, and he was actually happy with his life, his bar, his friends. No he had no woman, but he was still good looking...he looked at the brunette, the gorgeous blonde in the next room, who knows, maybe even one of these as they would judge him on who he was, not on the cognitive dissonance of reality vs. high school inflated expectations.

"Margaret, Margret McCook" and Jake's mind began to whir. He was absolutely horrible with names, forgetting relatives, let alone forme classmates. The Doctor's said it was partially a result of the five concussions he had in high school but he had played in the era of smelling salts and getting dinged, as opposed to today, where these things are understood for both the short and long term risks they represent. Maybe she wasn't even a former classmate, he tried to nicely clarify, "Are you here for the reunion?" The minute he said it, he regretted it, the look on her face told him everything, including the fact he should know her. Suddenly he remembered, perhaps diving guidance, or more likely a blind squirrel finding an acorn. She had been that genius in senior biology. He was just about to say, "Maggie!", when Beth popped in.

"Well hey Jake... Bubbly and sexy, how the hell didn't he remember her. Sure he had been completely faithful to Mary Ann, but he wasn't blind. "...Beth Klinger..." And nothing, nada, not a bit, and he was trying hard. She reached out her hand and he ws enthusiastically responding, "...You may remember me as the clarinet player you laughed at throughout high school?" FUUUCCCKKK, a complete and total cock block! The large hard on that had started to build in his jeans, almost at full bloom, went down faster than if he had jumped into an ice cold mountain lake. He couldn't believe he actually laughed, well maybe laughed, but not at her. Jake wasn't a bully or mean, he never had been. Oblivious, completely focused on the pursuit of a myopic dream, and a single girl, yes, but mean and cruel, never.

But it didn't matter did it, Jake realized. For whatever reason, attraction, jealousy, or maybe something he did that was in no way intended as they perceived it, their perception was he was a conceited ass, who thought he was too good for them, and hence, their perception was their reality. This was a refrain he was likely to hear over and over, over the next two days, at least these two were telling him to his face. He looked nervously at the door, only hoping one of them wasn't about to do a "fatal attraction" all over his ass.

He brought his hand back, but looked her in the eye, he was going to take it like a man, she deserved her time, as he must have hurt her. "I'm sorry if you feel I felt that way or I gave you that impression, I really am. I can tell you, I didn't, and not because you two are here and beautiful, but because that wasn't me. I don't know what the setting or context was, and I'm sure there were thing said where I succumbed to peer pressure or even laughed without understanding the impact, and for that I am truly sorry. Trust me, people are about to have plenty of chances to laugh at me, and I'm sure I won't enjoy it any more than you did. However, that doesn't excuse me hurting either of you by whatever it was I did at the time". He looked at them, hoped they felt they at least got a bit of the pound of flesh they seemed to be wanting.

"Maggie, I do remember you, you were incredibly smart...and it looks like life has turned out pretty good for you...same for you Beth...or at least I hope it has...and thank you for the drink...never mind about the soap...I don't think it would help me feel all that clean right now, anyway." He looked one more time at each of them, he truly felt bad, and then he set his drink down and prepared to walk out.

"OH Christ Jake, that was twenty five years ago!" Maggie said looking at Beth with a smile.

"Yeah, and if the football team had not smirked and laughed at me I might not have had the motivation to look like this" Beth said modelling her stunning body.

"It's cool Jake, we got over high school a long time ago. How about you? Still with Mary Lou or Mary Ann? I forget, home cum queen we used to call her" Maggie said with a snarky smile.

Beth slapped Maggie's arm and said "reeerrr be nice" mimicking a cat screech. "How about one of those" Beth said nodding to the drinks on the table "for me?"

Maggie looked at her Apple watch and said " a quickee maybe, got that all important 'tail gate' before the more important 'football game'" she said with twenty years of annoyance at the importance put on athletics when intelligence was what really counts.

The women's reaction surprised him, for at least Maggie had seemed pretty pissed off. Oh well, good. He watched Beth model. "I don't know what the motivation was but the result is incredible, I can only fantasize what a workout with you must be like." He saw as Maggie looked at Beth and realized he might not be the only one fantasizing that.

"No, Mary Ann and I split right after high school when I headed off to Ohio State, I guess she just stayed here." He laughed at the cum queen remark, but thought it a bit brutal. As far as he knew it had only been them, but maybe he had been naive to that too. "She was actually the one who reached out to me to get me to come to this thing, I was going to take a pass. Then they cooked up this whole anniversary celebration and I was sort of stuck. However, I think the highlight of my return home, may be right here. Beth, I don't know who the guy was you were going to get, but if he doesn't show up, I am right across the hall!" He winked, it was fun to flrt a bit again. Suddenly though he realized he may be missing the obvious, "Do you mind my asking are you two a couple?" Beth quickly shook her head no, giggling.

Jake turned and picked up the bottle of Maker's, "Well I run my own bar back in Columbus, so why don't you let me pour the drinks..." Her refreshed each of their own, and poured Beth a fresh one. "...I don't pour the drinks that often myself any more, and it is nice to service such beautiful women...are we really in that big of a hurry for that stupid tailgate?"

"What do you think Beth? Fuck Mr All American right here, right now?" Maggie said eyeing Jake like she was weighing a business deal.

"I really need to get to the game so we can play the fight song" Beth said before laughing and taking a long draw on the bourbon.

"Yes I guess we should just go, and wouldn't want to deprive the cum queen" Maggie said as her bellicose nature started to bubble up. So many unresolved issues form high school.

"Maybe next time champ" Maggie said to Jake as she grabbed her phone and Beth went to get her instrument. She poked her head back in as Jake got up to leave and said "if things don't work out with Mary Ann, you know where we are" with a wink.

Jake listened to her, 'who had said anything about fucking', he thought. They were just having drinks, talking, and he didn't really love crowds as hard as that might seem for some to believe. As she talked about the last thing Jake wanted to do was fuck her. The girl seemed to have issues..and he didn't need any more baggage. The blonde on the other hand was a different story..but he had just been friendly.

Jake put down his glass, this little not so friendly get together was over..but then he heard another catty remark, as Maggie was getting less classy by the second. "Yes I guess we should just go, and wouldn't want to deprive the cum queen...Maybe next time champ"

Beth had left the room but he spun on his heel, "What the fuck was that for, what did Mary Jane ever do to you...you were right, whatever happened, in reality or in your mind, happened 25 YEARS AGO...get over it, does any of that shit matter to anyone anymore"

Beth came back in, "if things don't work out with Mary Ann, you know where we are" Jake leaned in and gave her a kiss goodbye on the cheek. "You seem very nice and I do hope we see each other again...but if you are with her, it seems doubtful...she seems to have issues...I hope you enjoy your night and good luck with your song."

Jake went in his room and showered, Jesus, that was far from a good omen for the weekend.

Maggie and Beth looked at each other as Jake left in a huff, then as they heard his door close broke into laughter.

Maggie made a poor impression of Jake's accent as she repeated "...whatever happened, in reality or in your mind, happened 25 YEARS AGO...get over it..."

"Yeah get over it" Beth said shaking her head. "Like scrooge telling the ghosts to "get over it, it was in the past.""

Maggie's phone pinged and she looked at her watch and saw James' text, and said "cool the car is outside." She ducked into the bathroom and the two beautiful women headed to the tail gate.

Mary Anne saw the recognition of who she had been and who she was now in Ellis' face. She put on her happy face and thought "who the fuck is he?"

"You're looking good Ellis, doing well for yourself I take it" Mary Ann said with her still sweet as honey voice as she looked around for him, for Jake.

Jake had no idea the women had laughed, that they perhaps thought him a joke. N did he have any idea of what, specifically Maggie, was so angry about. He probably should have, but like any 18 year old might have, if they spent their every minute being told the world evolved around them, he had forgotten the mean things that had been said, or how he might have personified everything distasteful about the popular crowd. The reality was, he hadn’t felt or thought about any of that in years, and he had done everything he could to forget it. He knew if he lingered in the past, reminisced about the glory days, he would have wallowed in self pity.

That was then, this was now, but his words had clearly rung hollow to Maggie. Oh well, he tossed on fresh jeans, and a light navy blue V neck sweater. By the time he walked into the tailgate, many were already there. He felt the eyes on him, even thought he heard the whispers, the pity. Fuck, he didn’t want or really felt like he deserved pity. He had temporarily forgotten about Mary Ann, as he was thinking about Beth. She probably had her sights on some bigger prize, her statement to Maggie had clearly alluded to as much, but perhaps if he could talk to her separate from Maggie, maybe she would see he was a decent guy now, despite not being all that successful. He wasn’t looking for a wife anyway, but it would be nice to maybe find someone to have a decent time with this weekend.

His looking around, stopped in a heartbeat, from a very familiar voice from behind, “Jake, Finally, you’re here!”. The voice was so excited to see him, he had to admit it felt good, but when he turned around, he was almost speechless, all he could mutter was, “Mary Ann???”

Mary Ann pulled Jake to her massive chest as he hugged her back but she knew instantly that this was over.

"Gosh, it is so great to see you. You look fantastic, haven't changed a bit!" she said as perky as she could muster seeing the acknowledgement of his high school fuck bunny was now a middle aged nothing on the heavy side.

Ellis stood behind them, having spent the last half hour finding a soul mate in this woman. He was as sad to see Jake and Mary Ann was to see the look in his eyes.

"Jake-O!" came from the crowd as three thirty pounds overweight middle aged guys appeared with beers and handed one to Jake. "Captain QB!" one said as the other put Jake in a bear hug. "Almost game time I am glad you made it!" The third added. Mary Ann was lost in the macho greetings, which Jake was not too sad about.

Ellis saw his moment and stepped next to Mary Ann and asked "do you want to get out of here? I hear the lake is nice this time of year." with a kind smile and a spark of lust in his eye.

The black Honda Pilot with the "Lyft" sign pulled up to the party and Beth jumped out clarinet in hand. She looked amazing as she bolted for the group of fellow band members congregating by the track. As Beth walked she saw Jake watching her and she smiled and licked her lips as she brought the instrument up. She saw Jake's mouth open and she could not help but giggle and wink before continuing on to the ten other band members who greeted her warmly.

Maggie told James to just keep the meter running, she did not know how long she would stay.

A smile bigger than the one the twenty dollar tip had brought graced his kind and simple face, "Yes mam!"

Maggie got out and walked to the welcome table where Wanda sat. She literally looked almost the same as she had in high school. Still perky with her little face in a big brown hairdo from the seventies.

"Maggie, I mean Margaret McCook" Maggie said smiling at her. Wanda's mouth opened in awe at how amazing Maggie looked. "You look fantastic!" Wanda gushed as she found her name tag. "Thanks, you look great too" as she took the tag and put it on.

"The game is gonna start soon, so you can get a beer or wine or whatever over there and then get a seat" she said with her excited tone.

"Thanks" Maggie said and headed where Wanda had directed. "Maybe this will be fun?" Maggie thought as she went to the beer cooler and grabbed a bottle of Budweiser. "Wow some things never change" she thought as she opened the beer.

She was looking for Ellis but not terribly hard as she noticed people smiling at her then seeing her name tag and looking away.

"What the geek girl is still persona non gratta?" she thought as she walked towards the bleachers. She saw Jake surrounded by former teammates, looking a little shocked. She help up the beer and pointed. She then mouthed the words "want one?"

He nodded and and smiled as she smiled back and went to get him a beer.

For the past week as Jake did work himself back to playing weight, albeit distributed a bit differently but still ripped for a guy at 40, he realized his looks were about the only thing that resembled that high school hero. Suddenly the thought of trying to go back and rekindled something with Mary Ann seemed as foolish as thinking he could go down on the field again and line up behind center, fade back and fire a missile and hit his receiver in stride. Those were memories, some very, very sweet, but to try to relive them just seemed almost absurd.

As he turned around he felt better he had made the decision on the high ground, as the woman before him could never rekindle that type of passion. He saw the desire and hope in her eyes, and he was sure she saw the resignation in his. "Oh God, Mary Ann, it is so good to see you!" he white lied, as he returned a hug, keeping it very platonic. "I wanted to..." He got interrupted, "Jake-O!", and he knew he was about to be whisked away. He saw Ellis there, and he knew the look from so many patrons at the bar, who had spotted their night's desire. "Just a second guys..." He leaned back into her and whispered, "You were my first in almost everything, and I will never forget you...I hope you save me at least one dance tomorrow for old times...but I think there is a guy behind me here, who is a lot more successful than me and a much better catch...but thank you, we were once incredible". He kissed her on the cheek and was gone.

Mary Ann looked at him, but then she turned to Ellis. She wasn't getting any younger and she had heard he was some high tech big shot. She didn't know or really would care that was more than old news. She smiled, "Yes, the lake is very nice...and you have never been there with Mary Ann", she winked and took his arm.

It wasn't hard to spot Beth, in a town where, if there was a gym, it must be a four letter word, Beth, and Maggie as well, stood as out of place with their fit tight bodies, as they once had in their gawky teens. He watched her little gesture, and yes it made him instantly hard. The two women had him wrapped around their finger, even with their apparent disdain of him. Jake was smitten, like a kid with a high school crush with both of them. But oh how the tables had turned, as the once star felt way overclassed.

Finally, he was up in the bleachers, with guys who shockingly remembered every play from every game he ever played, and rehashed them in detail. It did feel good, and for a moment he was once again that invincible teen. But then he saw the woman who had just put him in his place, and he smiled nicely. "Want one?" she mouthed, and his smile turned genuine as he nodded yes. "That is Maggie McCook, remember that goth geek, she was a real burner too right?" The boys started to laugh, but Jake was no longer in high school. "Shut the fuck up...jesus guys grow up..." Back she came with the beer bringing it up to him, "Ah Budweiser, the premium beer of Davenport" he laughed clicking aluminum cans. One of the morons with him, again tried to make some stupid joke at Maggie's expense and Jake turned harshly, "Shut up, she's with me...if I'm lucky..." he turned to Maggie and looked into her eyes, "...and if she wants to be?"

Maggie bit her tongue as the hicks from high school continued their witty banter over Jake's objection. She did get a perverted thrill out of his standing up to his little minions.

"I'll let you guys enjoy each other" she said as she turned just so her silhouette in the field lights dropped all their jaws.

Hearing the old jokes and knowing how to make men with millions part with it she leaned in to Jake with her blouse open for him to dive into and said "maybe we can burn one back at the hotel after," her voice growing sexy as hell, " you... me... and the clarinet player."

The audible moan of near orgasmic desire from these guys was audible as a few nearby laughed.

Maggie smiled and turned and walked away as the void of silence behind her was nearly tangible on her ass. Then the obligatory "Jakey boy! still got the ladies! What you were in the hotel for a minute when the bitches come a knockin'?" and a few whistles as she found a seat near the top of the stands and enjoyed her fine malt beverage with 20% of the satisfaction she was hoping for returning to the scene of the crimes.

Wanda came up and sat with Maggie seeing her all alone, as if Maggie did not want it that way.

"Hey Margret" she said cheerfully, "mind if I join you?"

Wanda was and is a petite brunette with a cheerful disposition but a bit of a country edge to her. She did not have the greatest upbringing as Maggie remembered but they were in different worlds in high school. Maggie was struck by how good she looked. Her skin was perfect and body was rivaling Beth but without the obvious effort. She was kinda clean pure country.

"Sure, just like high school, hanging alone" Maggie jokes with a warm smile.

"Yeah things have changed and stayed the same" Wanda said gently. She sat very close with her hip touching Maggie although there was no one for a few seats.

"Congratulation by the way, I knew you would go far" Wanda said quietly.

"Thanks, yeah I have been lucky" she said as her usual humble explanation when luck had had nothing to do with it. "What about you? What are you up to these days?" Maggie asked genuinely curious.

"I live outside Austin with my daughter, Melody. She's seventeen going on twenty one" Wanda said pulling out her phone and showing Maggie a picture of a strikingly beautiful girl who looked like her mom and then some.

"She's beautiful" Maggie said handing the phone back. "You have me beat there."

"Well she was not expected, nor was her father's unexpected death on an oil rig" Wanda explained as a matter of fact. "But the lawsuit has given us comfortable life, so, in the end it's ok." she said.

"I am so sorry" Maggie said as her own trials seemed small in comparison to this woman.

"OH enough about that" Wanda said as she put her hand on Maggie's knee and smiled a kind of flirty smile and left her hand there longer than might be socially acceptable. "Should we get another drink?" Wanda said as though leading Maggie away.

Just the PA exploded "Welcome back Danville high class of 1999! and especially Jake All World Daniels!" There was a round of applause as Maggie smiled to herself about "Mr All World."

"And now the band of 1999 playing what else, the Danville pride song!" the announcer said.

A weak barely audible sound came from the group of middle aged adults, including Beth on the track in front of the stands. The guys with Jake all stood and sang well over the band. Wanda did not sing nor did Maggie.

And with that done the band disassembled and Wanda took Maggie by the hand and not letting her answer "no" pulled her down the bleachers.

"maybe we can burn one back at the hotel after," her voice growing sexy as hell, " you... me... and the clarinet player." He had greatly enjoyed the view and wasn’t quite sure what had turned Maggie since he left her room, but he wasn’t fighting it. “It is a date, I promise,” he whispered, more for her benefit than his. “You’re sure you don’t....” but she was gone, and he wanted to go with her. “So, are you all set for the big half time speech, first player in Danville history to get his number retired!” Th truth was Jake did know, once Mary Ann had tracked himdown, all sorts of shit had happened. He had resisted the ceremony, preferring to keep the focus on the team, but they wouldn’t hear of it. Jake hated public speaking, he always had, and he hoped the whole thing was short and sweet. The game as pretty ugly, Danville rarely had a good team, Jake was pleased. Being down two touchdowns, maybe people might head to the exits before he had to speak.

As he went down to the field he saw Beth, and walked over to her. “Maggie invited me back to your place tonight,” Beth didn’t act as surprised as she expected. “I was thinking, once this halftime thing is over, would you want to rub, I mean run to the liquor store with me. I think it will be closed if we wait for the game to end?”

*******

Wanda knew exactly where she wanted to take Maggie. Her husband’s death had been hard on Wanda. She still liked men, and it had been a long time, too long, since she had been filled by a nice cock. She swallowed thinking of her deceased husband. However, she had found, quite by accident, she enjoyed women. She knew she was attractive, and she was attracted to other similarly beautiful women.

She guided Maggie into the back office of the stadium. It was almost always empty, but she didn’t realize that in just the last 15 minutes, Athletic Director Finley decided that they were having the anniversary team meet there before going on the field to coordinate.

Wanda had been tracking Maggie’s career, but photos had not done her justice, Wanda had been feeling more and more aroused as she sat next to Maggie, and she sensed a certain vibe. The door had barely closed when she leaned in, and attempted to kiss her successful friend.

Maggie was shocked at first, rarely picking up on women's intentions. She was pleased however as Wanda's pointed tongue darted into her mouth. She held her small hands on her breasts and it had been a while since she had had any intimate contact, anything would have felt good but Wanda was wonderful. Maggie felt Wanda's full breast and stiff nipple and was suddenly very very turned on.

The door opened and Wanda stepped back quickly as a man stepped in Maggie did not recognize, half stunned from how intense making out with Wanda had been.

"Athletic Director Finley" Wanda said wiping her lips subtly, but there was no doubt in AD Finley's eyes to what he had interrupted. He took in Maggie with a long look up and down then looked at Wanda and said "you girls are gonna have to clear out, we are having a meeting in here."

"Yes sir" Wanda said like she was back in high school and grabbed Maggie's hand to pull her to follow. The team was filing in as they slipped out and she felt several hands on her ass as she passed. She looked back to see Jake with a big grin on his face.

"I am so sorry" Wanda said as they walked back towards the tailgate. "I have no idea" she was red faced and nervous.

Maggie smiled and said "reminds me of high school."

Both women laughed and got another drink then walked back to the bleachers for the halftime show.

"Jake is gonna make a speech" Wanda said .

"OH boy" Maggie said rolling her eyes.

"Well yeah I agree but he is easy on the eyes. You know he never made it into a OSU game right?" Wanda said explaining about Jake. "He got hurt in practice before the season," she continued as Maggie took more interest than she imagined she ever would in a football story. "He has had a tough go of it from what I have heard. Mary Ann said he has a bar in Columbus but that is a recent development after years of... well not so good years."

Wanda was sweet and sat hip to hip with Maggie as the band played the fight song and the old team walked out on the field. Maggie was sure this was the second biggest night of their life, short of the last football game they played in high school.

Jake wasn't sure as to what they had walked in on, but he could guess. Once again confusion reigned regarding Maggie. Was the invitation later for him or for them to both enjoy Beth, or perhaps all enjoy each other, or most likely just to smoke a joint and laugh and go to bed. He laughed at the unnecessary forethought, he would find out soon enough and any of it still sounded pretty good.

AD Finley came over to him, "This is a big night Jake, I hope you have thought through what you are going to say, you are our first retiree." Jake thanked him, he had a few words but more than anyone he wanted this over. He planned to be quick...thank you...this is an incredible honor and I am humbled...go Huskies!

They were led out to the field, each player introduced to polite applause. Introduced last, Jake was shocked and humbled at a standing ovation, including all of the players on this year's team, wanting to see the Legend.

It was those kids looking into those eyes that changed his plans, or maybe it was Maggie or even Mary Ann. He was handed his perfect replica jersey in the shadowbox container, he watched his number raised to the top of the small stadium, a sole flag of honor in the night sky. He shook hands, and then was handed the mic.

He looked across in the young man's eyes, and the crowd cheering down. Right then he realized this was his moment, the last he might make a difference in Danville, just not the one they probably expected...

"Thank you, you all have been too kind, you have always, in whatever forms you filled this stadium for our games, been too kind...honoring my teammates and myself...

I love you all, and you provided me some of the best memories of my life...but my accomplishments were back then...and I wish I could say I will never forget...but like so many players...I barely remember. Those of you who feel bad for me for what happened at Ohio State, don't, it probably saved my life by avoiding future concussions. Kids, this stuff is serious, and if you have had concussions, really consider whether it is worth ever putting on that helmet again. I love football, it is a great game, but it is also a killer.

It is not this team who we should be celebrating tonight, it is all of us, those who took their skills coming out of high school and made the most of it, and those who could use help from each other going forward. I hope I get to talk to many of you over this weekend and hear your stories. We all share a starting point, we are a community, and I will always be proud to have been a part of it.

Thank you!"

Jake finished and put the mic back. He knew it wasn't the rah rah macho talk they had expected. He was right...

The crowd was a little surprised as Jake put down the mike. It was an honest real speech.

Maggie was the first one to her feet clapping slowly and then "We love you too Jake!" rang out of her mouth as Wanda stood and cheered with her. Them cheering for Jake was perhaps stranger than Jake not taking a victory lap with a cheerleader spread over his face.

Beth saw the awkwardness and queued the band to play.

The crowd, like any crowd just needed a prompt and they all started cheering and wooping it up like he was in face on that lap with that cheerleader.

Meanwhile at the lake....

Ellis had never actually been to the lake. It was a camp ground, all but deserted this time of year as the night air had a twinge of chill.

Mary Ann and he sat on the hood of her car as she reached into her bag and pulled out a joint and a lighter.

"This night did not end up like I thought it would" she said as she lit the joint and took a long drag. "But I think it's gonna be OK" she exhaled and put her hand on Ellis' thigh and offered him the joint.

"Go ahead, I ain't gonna tell, and it is going to make what I do to you next feel all that much better" as her hand slid up to his cock.

Ellis took the joint and inhaled only to cough at the unfamiliar smoke. Mary Ann smiled as she felt his cock begin to harden under his starched khaki pants. "Try again" she said softly as her fingers expertly unzipped and unbuttoned his pants.

She took back the joint after Elis managed to inhale a puff or two. She took a deep lungful and slid off the hood leaving him sitting wit the joint. He took another puff, unclear of he was actually inhaling, but watched Mary Ann in front of him. She pulled his briefs and slacks down exposing his now hard cock. It was not much to write home about but Mary Ann smiled up at him as her hand worked it up and down. "Nice" she purred as she leaned over and took him into her mouth, Her tongue and lips and wet mouth were legendary as a blow job became known as a "Mary Ann" years after she had left Danville High.

"Lay back baby, enjoy your Mary Ann" she said with a devilish smirk before returning to her steady pace up and down. It was about five minutes after they had started smoking the joint when Ellis moaned and Mary Ann felt that satisfying jerk and warm flood of cum in her mouth. She milked Ellis dry and then sat next to him and lit a cigarette.

"That should make your reunion, no?" she said with a smile.

Ellis was so out of his element, pot, Mary Ann, the lake, all things he would have killed for the opportunity to do 25 years ago, now he let her take the lead. This was her territory, where she had enjoyed some of the best times of her life. However he embraced it, and he let her be the fantasy girl she still longed to be. And as Mary Ann offered it all up to him he let himself be there. Who was he kidding? He might be able to hit Maggie up for a job, and he'd try, but the minute he saw her, he knew she was not going to be interested in any rekindling. She was already red hot. He had been a predator then, now she was a killer.

So, as he laid back on the hood, and Mary Ann went down, demonstrating her considerable skills, he couldn't even see his own cock being fellated. However, none of that mattered, he was here now, finally getting the Mary Ann, and who cares that since Jake left she had sucked more cocks than a porn star, trying to find Mr. Right. Ellis couldn't point fingers, he had paid for the only sex he had had, and he liked her. For Mary Ann, the dream had died long ago, briefly resuscitated, then crushed by the look in her Jake's eyes. They laid there and enjoyed a second joint, this time it was Ellis going down, He wasn't good, but he was dedicated. They ended their date using the hood of the rental car to pound a permanent outline of Mary Ann's considerable ass into it, the night a rousing success. It was a nice night, and the two talked about grabbing dinner at TGI Fridays before the reunion dance.

*******

Jake wasn't sure why he went the direction he did, and part of him regretted it. Who was he to opine? But he had, and it was over. He did have his reasons though, he was trying to protect those kids, and give the spotlight a bit to Maggie and others who deserved it more than he. However, as he finished, he was only curious what one person thought, and he wasn't even sure why. His eyes immediately went to her, he saw her stand, clap, and even heard, "We love you too Jake!" He smiled, as the band played, and more cheers, more than he had expected rang out.

He gave one last wave, blushing, and the curtain closed on the former hero. He saw Beth almost immediately, "Are you ready to get out of here?" He looked for Maggie sitting next to Wanda and didn't want to interrupt something that she might want. They connected eyes, and he tilted his head and pointed toward the parking lot...He wanted to go find some alcohol, and burn one...maybe many....
