Twice now, I've received a message from a fellow Litster telling me his story link is on my signature. Twice!

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm thinking about deleting it altogether.

Your Link is the wrong one. It points to the file of whoever clicks on it.

You've linked to your home page, and anyone who's logged in when they click on your link will go to their own home page. Instead of linking to your home page, you need to link to the submissions list in your public profile. Like this:

Your home page, and everything on it, is private to you. If you were able to link to it, then anyone would be able to (for instance) delete all of your submissions.

That's why you need to link to your public profile.

Open the story you want to feature and put the URL in your signature blurb. You can then change it when you want to feature another story.

EDIT To ADD: If you want to feature all of your stories, use the URL on the public story list page, not the one in your private Control Panel marked Works.

NotWise provided you with the link to your stories list. Just quote it and copy and paste it into your signature.

Any link you use that points at your authors dashboard will point to the user dashboard when they click on it.
