Yesterday, I was talking to my friend Mark about, well, life. Mark is a graduate student at the same school I attend. He's 23, and lives in an off-campus apartment with Luke, his significant other.
Mark does not at all look like most people expect a gay male to look. He's tall, beefy and hairy. Also,
he used to play football. Mark told me that his mother ( who passed away) always knew that he was gay. He also said that having her accept him gave him the courage to come out to his football teammates and friends during his junior year of college.

My mother died when I was real young. I dont remember her.

Do you think I'd be the same person i am right now if she had lived ?

its doubtful you would be the same if you had known her, just because we are largely shaped by our expiriences. How you would be different, and if it would be better or worse we'll never know.

Thank you. Sometimes, I look at other guys and girls and their moms, and my mind wonders. Not much I can do to change things, I guess. Maybe if my mom was around, i wouldn't think dresses, makeup and lipstick are a form of torture invented by the Devil himself !!!!!! Yeah, I've always been "different" from the other gals.

Losing a parent can't help but be a life changing experience.

My mother has always been very supportive, and I know that my life would have been radically different without her.
