Glass half-full or half-empty?

Which type are you?

I tend to be an optimist most of the time, thinking that things will turn out good, but if I experience a pile of shit happening for a certain length of time, I then tend to get a bit pessimistic.

Today I received a letter in the mail from a school I applied for - I want to take a 2 yr registered massage therapist course. I think just because of how bad things have been lately, my first thought when I saw it was that I probably didn't get accepted. I'm usually more confident in my abilities than that, so it kind of surprised me that the thought even crossed my mind.

I did get in though - they accepted me. *doing a happy dance*

But now I have to apply to get funding from unemployment, so I really need to keep the positive thoughts going, and look at it as a "This will work for me", rather than "I'll get my hopes up only to get crushed" thing.

congrats, Freya! My coworker is doing a massage therapy course currently. It's some interesting stuff and I know you'll enjoy it. =)

you dont really want our opinions do you?

it was just an opportunity for you to go on about the shittinsess in your life

hoping someones would offer words of encouragement

well, just this once

where theres a will, theres a way

I actually kinda wanted to brag a bit without sounding like I was bragging.

You caught me, only you got it mixed up.

Too be honest, it all depends on how I feel that day if it's half full or half empty.

Me too. But I find a positive attitude inspires others to help you easier. Walking around all slumped over, thinking dire thoughts - people tend to shy away as if you're contagious.

My beer bottle is always half empty, so if you see the waitress or bartender, tell em i need another.

I'm savin' my shekels!

Congratulations, Freya! I've started saving up my pennies-- I want to be your first customer when you become a massage therapist.
;)

Sorry, I'll be out in a bit emptying my own beer bottles, and celebrating. You'll have to get your own. :)

this morning is was half full

this afternoon is was half empty

it went back to half full a little later.

but now

its half empty again

~sigh~

Congrats, Freya! I'm proud of you!

To answer your original question, though...I'll have to say...the glass is just too damn big *smiles*

Actually, in a lot of ways I'm usually a "half-full" person, very optimistic and usually happy. But when it comes to romance, I'm definitely a pessimist, and I hate that....

As previously stated, I am available on short notice to be the one being massaged.

That's right, Mags. Don't hate me cause I was the first to think of it. :D

I'm no good at sharing. Never have been. Well, sometimes, but not often. Only when there's boobs involved.

I have boobs and I'm willing to share with another.

ps... Congratulations Freya! Great news! :D
