Glass Dildos??

My wife and I have a few toys, vibrators and dildos, but haven't yet bought a glass dildo that seem to be so popular. Are they worth all of the hype? I would think if a toy is made for insertion that a dildo would be better because it is softer and if you want something hard that the vibrators would work for that.
So please, are they worth it and if so why? what makes them so great?

Not sure... my wife and I have looked at a few seriously... but more as art objects than for actual play. We think some make the most beautiful sculpture.

I mentioned these to my wife thinking she might enjoy them. However, she said "no way!" over her concerns of the glass getting chipped, or cracked... she said she'd be so worried about it that she wouldn't be able to relax and enjoy it.

Do you keep it in a padded box and handle with care?

I'd think that it could get chipped, or something rolling around in a drawer or a box.

Very interesting discussion here! I think I know what to ask my husband for on the occasion of our next anniversary!

I took Halo's post as advice and I bought one of these for my wife as an early anniversary present as well as a pocket rocket and we just tried it out tonight. Wow, I haven't seen her get so wet in a LONG time. After we used it we had sex and she was having so many orgasms she said she couldn't keep count of them. I highly reccommend these now. It was amazing the combo of this and the mini massager on and around her clit. WOW

I've had a glass dildo for around five years, use it regularly, store it in the velvet pouch it came in. It has no marks whatsoever, they are very durable, lovely and a lot of fun.

As for Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas, those three states have more tornados than any other place on earth so trailers, regardless of tie-downs don't do well (see the movie Twister.)

Yep, this coming from a guy who's spent years living in Texas and Oklahoma, trailers are damned dangerous if a tornado (or even a good stiff storm) shows up. I imagine they're not much safer along the gulf coast or the southern Atlantic coast if you get hurricanes very often (then again, hurricanes give you much more warning than tornados, so you can move out of the way).

And as for dildos, the topic of this thread, I think that you might like them so why not give it a try? and then display it right next to your George Foreman grill, the six pack of Keystone beer, and yer scratchin' stick.

Huh. As a man who uses a George Foreman Grill (they're handy for making quesadillas) regularly, and who finds scratching sticks mighty handy for them itches in those hard-to-reach places on my back, I take offense at the implication that I might drink Keystone beer! :D

They can be made from acrylic too.

If one is a just a bit clever, and some what crafty, objects like this can be made at home. Made for pennies on the dollar from acrylic. It takes a blank rod or two, a few simple tools, some time, some notion of design, and it is off to the races.

All the reasonably sized rods can be purchased as virgin blanks online. Ebay is good for that. Clear acrylic seems to be the most popular, yet many colors are available. Once aquired, simple hand tools can form the pristine rod into a rough shape. Some time in the oven enables the acrylic to be bent and twisted to suit the ultimate goal. Once formed , some a time on simple buffing wheel will enable the Object d'art to shine up fully and glisten in the light.

More detailed directions can be offered up to anyone who has an interest. Half a dozen or so have been formed here in various sizes and configurations. It is really fun to create a custom fitted one, and then gift away.

Good luck.

today

i have two glass (pyrex) dildo for ass play. One is smaller and tapered, the old is strong and proud.

I just love them. They can be heated or cooled. They clean in a jiffy. And they have good weight.

I think they are worth every penny. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

No need to be concerned. We bought 2 on ebay (great price) and they aren't as fragile as you think they would be.
Get one she'll love it.

Come on now, I don't care if it's made out of gold or uranium in Iran; a dildo is a dildo and not a "work of art"
