Glass Dildos??

My wife and I have a few toys, vibrators and dildos, but haven't yet bought a glass dildo that seem to be so popular. Are they worth all of the hype? I would think if a toy is made for insertion that a dildo would be better because it is softer and if you want something hard that the vibrators would work for that.
So please, are they worth it and if so why? what makes them so great?

I don't have a glass dildo, either, though I've considered getting one. I like that they can be made warmer or cooler, depending on what one's in the mood for.

The biggest drawback for me is the price, but then I tend to be a cheapskate.

Some that I've seen in online catalogs are beautiful enough that they could be put out on display as art. And that makes me think that such a gift might be appropriate for an anniversary, birthday, or simply to celebrate that this week included a Friday.

Okay this isn't going how I had anticipated. I am not looking for piece of art and no matter how great a piece phalic glass looks I would never display it in our home because we don't live in a trailer or a brothel.
I wanted to know the advantages and disadvantages what does a woman like about them, are they that great?

My wife loves hers because of the rigidity, the ability to warm it, cool it, sterilize it and best of all, fuck herself with it or have me fuck her with it. We've even used it for a double penetration minus there being another asshole in the bed.

She's had several dildos over the years, can't imagine why they keep wearing out, but this one has been her favorite. Oh, yea! It doesn't wear out.

Because these things come in a huge spectrum of shapes, sizes and types, you'll have a very difficult time not getting off with one of these. We've even been considering getting a couple more for further explorations of their potential.

The only draw back seemed to be back when I first got it for her. She had to get use to how hard it is. That didn't take long, though.

They're made from Pyrex (spl?) glass. Its the same stuff that glass cookwear is made from. For cleaning purposes, that's a nice bonus.

My husband bought me three for Christmas and I really like them. One has some bumps, one is angled, they're good for different things. The ability to warm or cool them is nice, they're both very hard and very slick, which I like, and the ability to just take them in the shower in the morning to clean 'em up is handy, too.

Actually, I have seen some that I would comfortably display in my office along with other small objets d'art. All I need is the right person with whom to enjoy one. Hell, maybe I ought to get one anyway - you never know what's going to happen tomorrow, right?

Besides, it wouldn't be too much of a distraction as long as it's out of my sight when I need to focus at the computer. I find that I can ignore almost all sources of distraction, so having a beautiful glass dildo a few feet away wouldn't faze me a bit.

I have to agree. The glass dildos are awesome in double penetration play. But I want to add something here...be sure you look at them carefully and especially handle them. There are glass dildos that look great but they are hollow..they have no weight to them. The solid glass dildos is what you want to use. It feels better inside, trust me I know this. Plus the hollow ones scare me as to breakage...the solid ones...I really can't see that happening. Expensive? Yes. But worth it...go solid.

A Pyrex dildo can be heated in the microwave to a comfortable temperature. I think that is the major advantage.
