does it change your level of domminess/subbiness?

i find that pre menstrual i'm ultra subby but in need of more nurturing.
but when i'm ovulating i'm really rather pushy & extra masochistic.

anyon else noticed something like this?

I'm not sure about more subby or whatever, but I do notice that my degree's of horniness vary, as well as my need for pain. About halfway through my cycle I'm extra horny, and REALLY REALLY REALLY in need of some extra pain. Right before my period I'm not as horny, and barely interested in pain. *shrug*

My level of aggression goes WAY up the day or so before my period starts, and as soon as the cramps hit, I go into hermit mode. I learned a long time ago what the sudden need to start punching walls means, so that's when I lock myself away (figuratively speaking) into the bedroom and start playing video games.

My hormones are screwed, but I do find I'm more dominant just before I get my period.

I'm also more..mmm...let's say, bossy before my period. :catroar: I have to really watch my attitude, which isn't always easy. Then when I start and the cramps begin I just want to curl up and be babied. About day 4 or 5 I want some SEX and PAIN. :)

I find I am more dominant/bossy a week or so before my period. Mainly my aggression levels go through the roof. Once my period has started, I just want to be taken care of. So I guess I would be more sub like after the start of my period than before. :p

But yes, my hormones do affect my submissive nature.

Domme off the rag, Domme eating chips and chocolate on the rag.

lol, same here (from the subbie side). my menstrual cycle doesn't effect my identity.

My cycle doesn't affect my identity, of course, but it does affect my emotions. I'm more snippy and more likely to get myself in trouble with Snooze a few days before my period. The first couple of days I'm in need of more affection than domination, but after the cramps let up I get really horny and stay that way for the rest of my time. I start feeling like I'm anxious to get back to my "normal" self.

This thread reminds me that i might want to look into a new pill.

Not Dom but more like ninja fighter.

I don't think it makes me more dom or sub...I find I am more amorous at certain times....during my period though I am in so much pain, I am kind of snarly.

I have no periods thanks to the makers of Seasonale. :) On the down side, I can't blame my cranky days on my cycle. LOL

Seriously though, the amount of stress I am dealing with impacts my need for pain, affection, etc. When I am in high stress mode I need to be flogged or spanked to the point of tears. Immediately after the crisis has passed I crave gentle affection...some time to breath deep re-center.

Actually I find that I'm not prone to irrational bitchiness once my period has actually started, it's that week leading in that I find myself saying stupid stuff on occasion and picking a fight more often. Men have cycles too, though, we are all rivers of hormones and brain chemicals - it's just that we love to blame as many defects as possible on being female in this culture. You never hear "wow he was such a dick to her, do you think he needs to take some effexor and a valium for the short term?"

im the same great till 2 days before my period, and no interest till 3 days after it

A few days before : Horny as hell and love to play. My breasts get really sensitive, so H takes full advantage of that.

During : in too much pain for anything... walk around in a daze from the pain killers.

After : back to my normal predictable self.

I do have a question on the topic of female bodies and hormones. H has implied that He'd like to start a family in the near future. We're both still pretty new to BDSM (in general), so please excuse my ignorance, but I was wondering how safe any form of play is during pregnancy? Do we just simply call it quits for a while or slow down to D/s without any s/m? I am just curious to see how others have handled it...

Yup - busy running search in another window... haven't found anything yet. If I don't, then I'll start a thread...

i always feel the same as far as being submissive goes no matter what time of the month it is. But i have noticed that my pain tolerance goes way down about a week before my period

Kind of hard to answer. I'm always dominant, though I may choose to be submissive for someone who is alpha enough. Yeah, I know that comes out wrong, but there you have it.

My feminine cycle doesn't have anything to do with it. The substantial change is, during my period I go into heat. I'm never bitchy or moody, just very sexual and sensual. Sex drive goes through the roof and that's when I want it more so. Usually needing more anal and I have to be careful with my nails, that I don't tear someone to bits. I think part of it has to do with how painful my periods are for me. I need something to distract me from 7 days worth of pain and aches.

i just get bitchy when im PMS-ing. no use sugar coating it. i am also in a lot of pain during it, which is the origanal reason i was put on birth control

I have never felt any different no matter what time of the month it was, never had PMS. Now that I've had a hyst and don't have my periods I really don't know what my ovaries are up to.
