I have a real life personal story I'd like to write. The only problem is im not actually a writer. its a story I end up telling often to pwople I meet on lit and sas wondering if someone would help me with writing it?
Its a pretty simple story... im happy to share any of the details with anyone interesed in helping me.
It is a very sexual story about my first encounter with an older man when I was 19. Its not a very long story. I really only want to write about the first time we met.

Why not try writing it yourself first? You might find it's easier than you thought. Then you can see if someone is willing to edit it for you. If nothing else, the exercise may collect your thoughts on the story and enable you to then pass those notes on to the person who volunteers to write the actual story.

Thank you for that tip! I might try writing out what I can and see where that gets me. I just have a hard time getting my thoughts down properly

Write as if you are telling it to a friend, that gives you the basics down on paper. Then you can go over it to polish it up.

Post your idea on the SRP page, ask for someone to write with you. You can relive your experience by writing it and take it beyond in any direction you'd like.

Here's what you do...

You might try dictating the story to a voice recorder, tape recorder, or whatever, speaking it out loud. As you tell the story, let it take you wherever it wants to go. Then transcribe what you've dictated.

Mark Twain used this method to great effect when dictating his autobiography. He made it a rule not to stay with one train of thought when another suggested itself. He simply "changed trains" and pursued the new one, knowing that he could always go back to the other one later. In this way, he cut out the "editor" in him that kept him from telling the story. If that happens to be your problem when you sit down to write, this method may present a solution.

That is an EXCELLENT suggestion!

Back in the day (about 15 years ago) I started taking a reporter's cassette recorder with me wherever I went. First, it was a cross-country car trip, and I just dictated as I drove between coasts, recording ideas, songs, plot bunnies, observations, fantasies, etc. At diners, I sometimes switched it on (with a small mic clipped to my shirt) to stealthily record locals conversing, so I could study the rhythms of others' speech.

After that trip, it (or its replacements) accompanied me everywhere. Driving, bicycling, walking, all are good. I wrote a number of non-trivial articles that way. I also engaged in quite a bit of self-analysis. It's amazing what we can tell ourselves, that we wouldn't dare reveal to anyone else.

I haven't used that method for a couple years, because (other excuses aside) I'm lazy, and I haven't been able to walk and bike as much as I used to. I'm due for some medical repairs soon, so I should be more ambulatory, and then I'll try dictating stories as I stroll and roll.

A voice recorder is a wonderful tool for writers.

And how will that help? :)

Removing your clothes will let your blood flow unrestricted by outside pressures.

That will help get more blood to the brain quicker, therefor helping to get the creative juices flowing better.

Sounded good, think she will buy it?;)

Let's hope so!

Personally, I find it difficult to write when naked. I get distracted into masturbation. Slows me down a little.

That always works for me!
