One thing I often suggest is to look at your body as abstract art. Try to come up with unique angles, or perspectives. Try using the 'macro' setting on your camera, if it has one. There are myriad ways to photograph something. Have fun exploring, and thinking in unconventional ways.

Also, an important factor in photography is lighting. Perhaps you can play around with different lighting configurations. By combining multiple sources, you can create really professional-looking shots. The classic 'studio standard' is a three point set-up, with one light behind the subject, which creates a kind of 'halo,' one in front but to one side, and a softer source on the other. Often, a wall or other light reflective surface can act as that softer source.

Lastly, there's no rule that says your pix must be nude, or even erotic. They can be flirty and fun, and taken anywhere... No need to limit yourself to the confines of your dorm.
