As a teenager I was very fond of reading sciencefiction and the tv was full of campy sci fi thrillers, I used to play music and do pencil drawings of topics like this acrylic...

Laughing.....I devoured it in masses, and found that it is hard to come up with new ideas in that genera, when I find a good book it is like a treasure....but now adays that applies to books of all flavors. For instance I hate most of John Steinbeck's novels...they are tragic and painful to read, but two of my favorite novels are Sweet Thursday and Cannery Row. The characters are delightful and so human. I love Zora Neal Hurston's Their eyes were watching god. Some of the lines in that book are astoundingly beautiful. Now sci-fi favorites were many. I am ashamed I cannot remember many but there was a lot of very interesting philosophy and ideals explored through fiction and science fiction that would not be accepted in any other genera without great critism and disclaim. Certainly challenging the status quo brings us all to a better place, without the exchange of ideas and thoughts we stagnate....become rotten.
Would a simple yes have done just as well?

Thank you patty My intent was to incorporate a nice catttleya into one of my paintings, I never got there and got hooked on the plants themselves....but...smile... my life is not over yet.

I was photoing a snapdragon...and low and behold...I beheld an ass... I.. ah...edited it a little. When I edit photos I touch up with color picked up from the photo itself.

As I was walking by my neglected orchid I snapped this shot this morning...using a flash with my newly recovered misplaced camera... Epidendrum radicans they have renamed this into another genus....I will have to look it up. A species from Central America
