Julia clung to Brogan, gasping as he thrust into her with a slow, measured passion. She whimpered and moaned, her fingers curling through his hair as he gave her everything she could have ever wanted. She would have never imaged her marriage would be happy or that she would have found the love of her life in Inverness.

"Hands and knees, love. I want to feel all of you." Julia gasped against his ear.

As ever, Brogan was slave to her wishes and he drew back to turn her onto her hands and knees before sinking in once more with another deep groan. His hands explored freely, but his pace eventually quickened just a bit when he knew he wasn't going to hold much longer. "Love..." he warned her softly.

His hands were rough and calloused, but always incredibly gentle when it came to her. Julia let out a cry of delight as he picked up the pace, driving into her with the same familiar rhythm that was full of passion and need. When his growing end came, she let out a cry, entering the world of pleasure just a moment before he did.

Brogan hardly made a sound when he filled her belly with his seed, too intent on listening to her own lovely voice as he leaned over her, his hands coming to plant against the bed to hold himself up while he caught his breath. "Beauty," he whispered. "Gods, I love you..."

"I love you more." Julia murmured, giving him a smile as she pressed her lips against his own, his heavy body resting against her own as they panted in the aftermath of what they had just done. "And you'll have a hard time convincing me otherwise, Brogan Ghis."

"I'll jus' give in t'yer better judgement, as ever," Brogan chuckled, not giving her the satisfaction of an argument. It was possibly the only thing he could do to tease her more than actually disagree with her.

Julia turned her head to kiss him again, a smile on her lips. She was about to speak as the heard the sounds of one of the babies crying. A long sigh left her lips, her green eyes showing humor as she pressed her forehead against his cheek.

"Duty calls." She murmured softly.

"I jus' can't keep you t'myself, can I?" He chuckled, drawing back to let her go tend to the twins. He was close behind her after pulling his trousers on.

Julia grabbed a wrap, pulling it around her naked body as she led the way into the other room. Ashelin and Heather were screaming mad by the time she arrived, pulling Heather into her arms while she let Brogan tend to Ashelin.

"What's the matter, love?" She murmured to her daughter, kissing her little cheek as she continued to cry and sniffle.

Brogan came to stand beside Julia, cradling Ashelin close to his chest. They began to calm as their parents held them, and Brogan looked around to find that a broom that had been left out in the corner had fallen over. "Ah, jus' startled," he said softly as Ashelin looked up at him as if begging him to make it all safe again. "It's okay, little lass," he whispered, kissing her forehead.

Julia nuzzled against sweet Heather as she began to calm, clinging to her mother as she looked up at Brogan. He certainly had a soft spot on his heart for his daughters, whether it be Annie, Kate, or one of the twins.

"Perhaps it's a good evening to sleep in Ma and Da's bed." Julia suggested, looking at Brogan with a smile. "Just like we use to with Sam and Rho."

"Sound good, love?" He asked Ashelin softly, and she just buried herself a little more securely against him. "I'll take tha' as a yes." He led the way back into their bedroom and settled into bed with little Ashelin at his side.

Julia placed Heather next to her sister, smiling as she settled in contently between her parents. She couldn't stop staring at the perfect little creatures that she and Brogan had made together. They were the perfect mixture of them both, green eyes and dark hair.

"I''m sad they're my last. You make beautiful girls, love." Julia said as she looked up at Brogan with a smile on her features. "Beautiful, lovely little girls."

"Even if we could 'ave more, y'know as well as I do tha' these two're pushin' it," he chuckled. "I don' regret 'em fer a second, but it's gonna be odd fer them t'barely be adults when I'm over sixty. A' least they'll get along well with their nieces an' nephews, bein' so close in age."

Julia laughed softly as he said that. "Perhaps they won't have a hard time with their chosen beaus as they grow. You were a madman when Annie told you about David. You've most definitely softened in your old age, Brogan."

"No, I jus' went easy on Kell because 'e proved 'imself. David was a scoundrel an' wasn't takin' things seriously up until Annie forced 'im t'take a look at what was important. I wasn' gonna let a lad who ran around charmin' anything with pulse marry my little girl so easily." Brogan had always had a soft spot for David as a boy, but when he'd grown into a heartbreaker, Brogan had become very firm with him and then vicious when David set his sights on Annie.

"Did you ever think she'd be so happy?" Julia asked him. "He loves her deeply and they have a beautiful little boy. I know you think the world of Danny."

"I knew she'd find 'er man... jus' never really believed it'd be David. Thought it'd be one o'those calm an' steady lads from th'mines 'r another horse lover. I still say David's horse is what caught 'er eye. she loves Highlander as much as she loves Phearson." He still had the old warhorse, but the beast was incredibly old for a horse at nearly thirty, and long since sent out to pasture to live peacefully to the end of his days.

"Just as much as you do." Julia said, her hand moving to rest on Heather's soft belly as the little girl drifted back off to sleep as the sound of her parents' voices drifted over her. "The day Phearson dies will be a sad one indeed."

She leaned down and kissed Heather's forehead, doing the same to the still active Ashelin who was moving and squirming.

"I'm thinkin' o' lettin' Annie take 'im t'her own pasture. He doesn' get much attention in ours." Brogan tried to make time for his horses, but he was absorbed in his family. "She'd love t'have 'im if I know 'er at all. It'd also give 'er a gentle giant t'introduce Danny to, old soft thing like me."

He reached up to draw Ashelin a little closer, kissing her cheek as she began to settle under his attention as his children always had. She soon curled close to Heather and began to drift off.

"Perhaps we should go for a ride tomorrow. I know the children would enjoy that." Julia suggested as she watched Ashelin calm under her father's attention and finally drift off to sleep. "We could even take Heather and Ashelin. I think they're strong enough to go on a little ride."

"We'll see if we can get Kate t'stop worrying over everything fer a minute," Brogan nodded, laying back easily with a comfortable sigh. "I love ya, sweet lass," he murmured to her, looking over with a smile.

"And I love you." Julia said softly as she leaned across the twins and kissed him gently. "More than you'll ever know."

The next morning didn't end up being the light and bright occasion they'd hoped for. Brogan and Julia were woken early by Cole, calling through the door that Kayla and Lucy had gone missing on their way back from the Gol Dun village, and there were humans and werefolk starting to get vicious with each other. Brogan barely managed to stop himself from sitting up suddenly, not wanting to startle the twins.

Julia glanced across the bed as Brogan struggled to not startle the children. She reached across the babies, holding them lightly as she looked at him.

"Go on, love. I'll take care of the girls." She said softly, knowing that the girls needed to be changed and fed before much longer. "See what happened to Kayla and Lucy. I'm sure Boar is beside himself."
