No High School Football. No College Football. No Pro Football.
However Pop Warner Football is going to be played. The focus is learning and fun. Yes, I get to ref. my first game today. I have two games to ref. I will be ref'ing the junior pee wee, and the pee wee games. That's the littlest kids groups. I'm nervous and excited at the same time. Gotta watch the coaches and the parents. If you don't here from me in awhile. Would someone please look for me. I'm afraid one of the parents has gotten me and is torturing me. lol Seriously though I am looking forward to this. It should be fun. My games are at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Pacific Standard time. Hope everyones lives are returning to "normal".

May God Bless You All,

Good luck mate I hope you have a hoot.

BTW your lucky to be doing it there and not here.....here they usually sing "who's the bastard...who's the bastard..who's the bastard in the black....whos the bastard in the black" to the tune of "Bread of heaven"...........of coarse all in fun you know :D

Well Hun,
You know all my positive thoughts are there however I KNOW YOU WILL DO JUST FINE. The kids will love and respect you, and the parents too. Now try to control that irresistable charm and sex appeal of yours as all the moms will want to be pawing all over you and giving you their numbers... ;) You dont want the dads mad at you

I am sorry I havent chatted with you much the past couple days. You know if it wasnt for my feelings for WC you would be my sweetie. Have a great day, and please tell me all about it when you get home. I am very happy for you! Enjoy yourself.

What a Feeling !!!!!!!!

Yeah!!!! I have my first two games under my belt. I had an awesome time. The kids were great!! There are definitely some NFL stars in the making. The kids were well behaved. The coaches weren't too bad. I didn't hear anything from the parents. I also changed really fast so noone would know who I was. I think I'm going to like this

OUTSIDER.......Yes, my friend. I'm glad that I'm over here also. I heard a few things from the stands, but mostly I blocked the crowd out.

PacificBlue.......Thank you for the encouragement. I had a ball out there. My cardiovascualar workouts paid off. How was your date?

luv2tvl69.......You just make sure that WC takes good care of you. Thanks Hon', but the ladies do not like the men in stripes. (Unless you make calls for thier team. lol. I'll write to you soon.

Have fun kgbootie, don't let the parents beat you down too badly ;)

Glad it went well.............and I woulda posted but I never saw your thread kg................so how many parents jumped down your throat or coaches for that matter?

congratulations!!

hope the refereeing went well for you.
just remember 2 things...

1...if parent or coach get on your case, throw the bum out!
2...dont throw a penalty flag in someones face. ( especially if they are bigger than you.)

and have fun eh?
(yeah, i know...decisions, decisions, dicisions LOL)

Reply to posters.

HardkoreBJ..............Thanks partner, I did have fun out there. Those little kids were faster than I thought. I had to hustle just to keep up with them. lol

Chuckus................ Thank you for replying. No, I didn't have any parents or coaches jumping down my throat. Since I didn't throw too many flags. They wanted to get the other ref's. lol
I did change into street clothes as soon as the games were over. Then I left quickly. lol

Batter.............LOL. Just LOL!!!! I didn't have to throw anyone out. I'm good sized myself, so size isn't an issue. lol. Besides, I may be ref'ing the coaches other games, so they really don't want to make me an enemy. In fact, I had to fix my shoe one the sidelines. A coach asked me how he could make me feel more comfortable. lol

Lickerish............Thanks for the cheer beuatiful. I only wish you were in there at the games........Then again maybe it's a good idea you were not. I'd be looking at you instead of paying attention to the game. *wink wink*

LOL. I hear ya. LOL

I once refereed two soccer games...

Just like yourself, nothing world shattering, but important to the teams in the Brockenhust and Lymington Amateur Sunday League (Under 12s).

My first game was absolutely brilliant. I stood for no nonsense. Blew the whistle for fouls at the slightest sign of an infringement. I was firm but fair...

The following Sunday I completely lost control.

I was never asked again...

My heart goes out to you...

:D
