getting messages

I am new at this. Based on this thread, there must be a way to see if messages have been received.

Anybody want to give simple directions?

Hi Mtn. Hit UserCP above and you'll see the 'private message' spot, also can adjust you profile and options (to send you email when you receive a PM, etc.)

Dear MtM,
Perdita's correct about PMs on this site. As for EMail, I don't think there's any way to know if someone gets your message if the recipient doesn't tell you he did.

When you're in your private message window there's a "message tracking" button, it tells you if a message has been read.

Maybe I will write a story that warrants a reply in the near future. Would love the feedback.

Checked on the favorite stories based on reads. With many stories with over 500K reads, my read number at almost 20K seems insignificant.


May have an impact on the number of contacts you get.

emails and feedback

I guess I would appreciate both.

One forum talked about his 89 emails..... and I wondered how to find out if I had received any...... so the basis for the first question.

I made the assumption that email responses would come with feedback to a story. If this is different, I am not aware of where to look for feedback to stories either.

Feedback will be mailed to the e-mail address you have provided - IF your readers care enough to actually write any feedback, that is. There has been several 100.000 people in total reading my stories, but I've "only" received about 100 feedbacks...

Ummm.... I don't think the usual email feedback :

"Hi,
I read your story. You have a nice ass. I'm sure you want me to stick um tongue up your butt."

really counts as feed back thought.
