Getting 'Lost'

So I had a hard day's work. Eight hours of carrying heavy boxes from one place to another, getting all durty, tired. Loads of cuts, blisses, aching muscles, etc.

So tonight I'll be relaxing on the couch. And it happens to be the day that the tv-show 'Lost' - which had an amazing success in the US - starts to air on germany television. So I'm really looking forward to it. IT seems to be well done and acted (Hey, Merry is in it. ) and it got hyped all along. I also like what I've heard about the story so far.

So do you guys think that this is a good show? Will it get me hooked like '24' ? Or is it just another soap opera only on an island?

I watch it every Wednesday. Then I watch Alias, my favorite show.

I am totally hooked and suggest you watch the whole season in re-run. There is just enough twist to keep you wondering from week to week. I just hope it doesn't end up having some cheesy ending about what this island is all about.

They have shown "Lost" a few weeks over in Sweden. I began to watch it mainly because I've heard good stuff about it (not to mention the TV channel's overdone promotion of it!). I personally found it a bit "tough" to get into. My parents and I found it slightly too "weird" in the beginning and my mom lost interest fast. Dad and I have continued to watch it, mainly because we have a marathon TV fest on Wednesdays ("Lost", "Third Watch" and "CSI Las Vegas").

I have to say that by the last couple of episodes I'm starting to get into the show. Getting to know the characters more and everything. Won't say I'm "hooked", but it's definitely more interesting now than before.

Oh, and I also hope the ending won't be really cheesy.

Yes ... yes ... and no . Meaning, yes its an awesome show, Yes, it will get you hooked like 24 and hell no its not a soap opera on an island. If you want that, watch "Verschollen"

I have to catch up on the last couple of episodes, but so far this is one of the best new shows this season, along with Desperate Housewives, which starts in a week on german TV.

Well, after watching it now all I can say is..... AWESOME.

I'm already hooked after the pilot. Great directing, great acting, great music, great location. And most of all, great plot so far. Enough twists, flashbacks, suprises and mysteries for an entire season already, lol.

So next to '24', 'Six Feet Under' and 'King of Queens' this will be the third show that I'll be watching regularly. Can't miss one single episode.

Oh and yeah, I've seen the trailers for 'Desperate Housewives'. Looks alright, but not my kind I guess. I also totally disliked 'Nip/Tuck' whose first season ran here a short while ago.
