I notice the more experienced writers add links to their published works whenever they reply to a thread. How do they manage that as this is not really shown when you start off?

Hi Donagle

and welcome to the poetry board.

Here's how you add a link. Follow the directions except use brackets like these [ ], instead of parentheses. I used them because the code wouldn't show otherwise. :)

1. Type this:

(url=

2. Copy (using "copy" from your Edit menu or the right-click menu on your mouse) the url from the address field of the page you want to link to, like this (I'm using mine as an example).

(url)http://english.literotica.com/stories/memberpage.php?uid=92566&page=submissions

3. Paste the address line next to (url= with no spaces and add a closing bracket at the end, like this

(url=http://english.literotica.com/stories/memberpage.php?uid=92566&page=submissions)

4. Now call the link whatever you want, like this

(url=http://english.literotica.com/stories/memberpage.php?uid=92566&page=submissions)My Poems

5. Now add this closing code, again with no spaces between whatever you call your link and it

(/url)

6. When you put it all together, you get

My Poems

Thx ever so much! At least there are still some nice people left out there

:)

You're welcome.

I'm chronically nice--it's sort of a disease. Once I got mean, though, and Wicked Eve implied that my halo had fallen in onion dip.

:D

only Lauren Hynde knows how mean I really am

That's why the dip was so crunchy!

you mean the line from the address field? you can put it anywhere in your post (but the title, I think) as long as you set it up as I showed you.

sample (again using parenthsis marks instead of brackets, so you can see the whole code)

Now I know where my halo went! Give it back...oh. Too late, huh?

Or go to the User CP, Edit Profile, and paste it in your signature. :)
