Has anyone ever hooked back up with a high school sweatheart? what about, you break up with someone, and see him/her a couple of years later, then after a couple of dates start a relationship? can you get back together with someone, after he/she been with others?

mind is racing with some ideas...but very unorganized.

Depends on the people involved. I know that if I saw a lot of my high school sweethearts (I had a few) again and had the chance, I'd work hard to get back with them. But many years have passed, and I know not what has happened between then and now. There could be marriage, divorce, pregnancy, celebrity, total conversion to lesbianism (nothing wrong with that, I'm just saying), and a zillion other possible barriers. Such is life. I also know there could be good things that happened between then and now that would help (example- I've lost some weight and matured significantly). It really all comes down to the characters and situation- as in stories, so in life.

I broke up with a guy when I was a junior in high school, him a freshman in college. We had dated for about a year and a half. When I was a sophmore in college, we got back toghether. Last Friday, we celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary.

There is a girl from my class, Tammy, that still haunts my thoughts. I was in town back in february, and wanted desperately to hook up with her again. She was that girl of my dreams.

I found out that she was married, and happily so, but the thought, hmmmmmmm the thought.

In my final months in high school I carried on a mutual flirting relationship with a classmate. We were sometimes graphic and a bit raunchy in the notes we passed to each other but it seemed to me to be just all in fun. The whole thing was pretty much platonic though. At our 5 year reunion she shocked me when she questioned me if I wanted to follow up on our mutual interest. I wasn't really expecting that but in the back of my mind there'd always been the hope....

It was too bad because I was already in another relationship.
