i suggest 2 GB of RAM (memory) but 1 GB absolute minimum

you mentioned needing a lot of memory cuz of saving photos on 'puter ?

that sounds more to me like you want lots of storage "hard disk" space ?

about 250 GB or so is reasonable for a HD ... make sure u get a DVD burner so u can archive photos to DVD's in case the HD craps out (which they do tend to do)

Oh yeah, I definately want a cd/dvd burner. I'm gonna back up all my cd's so that I don't have to worry about them getting ruined.
