Getting a divorce? Make sure you get half of the stuff.

why get married in the first place? it restricts your options
male eye-candies yes, but getting tied down… dmb

Doing stuff like this feels good at the time I guess, but often backfires big time.

A previous landlord who had become a fairly impossible alcoholic sold a penthouse apartment for way, way under market so he could give his ex 1/2 among other things.

The joke was on him though, his ex had got engaged to an incredibly wealthy man whom she later married. She had instructed her lawyer to let my previous landlord just have everything, only he was too bitter to open the envelope from his lawyer to find out.

Plus the judge ruled in the final divorce that even though his ex did not want 1/2 of everything, that he was giving her x yrs to change her mind and if she did, my former landlord owed her 1/2 the accessed market value of the condo.

Though it's foolish to let your anger harm you too.

was serious (without the dmb part, sorry)
half of marriages end up in divorce… Too much heartbreak

I agree that the divorce rate can be quite high. So many different factors - too young, too immature, barely knew each other, lack of communication, cheating, irreconcilable differences etc

And marriage isn't for everyone but married or not your heart can still get broken.
Some say it's the price of love.

But imagine if you never put yourself out there to love someone because of the fear of possibly getting your heart broken. You could be missing out on the one who could be your forever partner in life.

:)

To True. Its a risk we all take. Like most I've been through it all. Doesn't mean I won't try again.
