Use 'Email Notification' by default? and i have NO checked...but still get multiple emails about updated threads

any suggestions?

When you post a thread, unclick the email notification. That's the 2nd box down.

Check user cp, under edit options, and click off on 6th choice down, email notification by default.

After that, check for subscribbed threads on the main page of your user cp. Any forums or threads you are subscribed to, click off on.

After that, you shouldn't gte anymore. :)

and if i've done both of thoes already and still get e-mail.....what then?

:p

Nah, that should get it all to stop. If not, there's another option to let the board email you for things like newsletters. I've always had that off, so I don't know if it would matter for board updates, or not.

If all else fails, there are a few people who might be able to help, mod wise.

Changing your preferences and unsubscribing from threads does NOT undo the request for e-mails in individual posts.

Every time you get an e-mail, go through the thread that you're notified about and edit all of your posts in the thread to remove the request for an e-mail notification. (Or edit all of your posts to avoid getting any e-mail as at all if a dead thread is revived.)

Subscribing to a thread on Lit automatically sends you e-mails for any new posts on that thread.

It's easier to add a thread to your favorites and manually check for new posts.

Check your deleted messages folder for the notices to find the threads again -- the Default in Outlook Express is to save deleted e-mails until you specifically purge them;if you haven't changed the defaults, then you may still have the e-mail notices.
