Well, to be honest, I am not horny. When I am horny, I will go on a chatline or something for a quick fix. Basically, I am just looking to make a few friends, and exchange a few numbers, see what happens.
I just find it amazing these days(I am 32), that with all the social media and technology, it is harder to chat with women online and get some back in forth going, then it was when we used to hit the late 90's early 00's Aol chat rooms. Back then it was total non stop action. Is it just I am behind the times/stuck in the past?

You need to participate. Go to the playground and play. There are threads where you can post one word answers and things. That is where you meet people. Where you "see" people and get a feel for them.

Also try finding a thread or two that catches your eye and post on it. Build a rapport with those people. You would be surprised at the people you meet. There are any number of threads that are simply people chatting and you can find one that suits your interests.

I think there's even a Man's Cave in the Playground [laughs]

The trick is just to participate and put yourself out there.

The playground is made for that type of thing. It can be a bit intimidating because it's so fast paced.

The How To section has a lot of nice people, but it's purpose isn't really for flirting. However, if you hang around here and make reasonable posts and are nice, which you seem to be, then you may have some luck. Also, check the How To Cafe. It is slow moving though. You can check the Personals I suppose, but I don't know that's the best place if you're looking for normal conversation.

Unfortunately, your possession of a penis will make it harder to just randomly PM girls and get responses. Your best bet, as people said, is to get involved in a thread. Something. Have a reason to PM a girl.

I think there are a lot of girls here. I would say its probably closer to 50/50, on the two forums where I have been active- the Playground and How To. Actually, the How To has more girls than guys, I think. Of course that's not why I'm here. It's because I am a helpful, loving guy.

But the point is, the girls get a million PMs. So if you want to get a response, you have to be charming or funny or something unique. but don't just cold call her. Have a reason to PM her. Give her enough information to respond with something useful.

It's not. Women seem to post more (save for in AmPics, Personals and Fetish), but there are A LOT of men who lurk and/or just PM members who appear to be women.

WYW, in addition to the great advice you've already been given, follow your instinct to create a good profile and also be sure to read the profiles and check out the posts of any ladies you're considering contacting. I have found the creative, funny, almost vince vaughn like approach works best. Over the basic nice guy, or even sexy talk approach. You are right though, you have to get creative with the title to grab the eye. I am sure some women read all their pms, but most just jump right to the profile pic and if the guys hot they will reply

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that I think you may suffer from confidence issues. Correct me if I am wrong. But it seems to even come through on this thread. I'm not having a go at you, I'm just saying that it wouldn't be an incentive for a girl thinking about returning your PM.

Girls here seem to like guys who are well written and can make them laugh. I have never posted a pic of myself here on this forum (other than my stickman pics), so girls have no idea what I look like. Not a clue.
