safe and sound-ish

warm is another issue - im working on renovating my great grand-folks 132 y/o farmhouse. a single wood burning insert in the bedroom, no insulation yet cuz im still running wiring and plumbing and the house sets on pillars so free airflow underneath. kept the room at 58 last night but have electric mattress pad

then again, truck has a good heater as i make rounds to feed all the animals, check fences and pasture water spigots. seriously debating sleeping in the camper next several nights...now i can get that sucker really toasty!

Thx hoss ,, lookin forward to it, these jobs are how i get away from the farm for a while heheh. now that our 20 degree nights are past, tomorrow will get my water tanks full, hay stacked on the trailer, separate out the horses i need, and try to keep my beagle calm ,,, this dog just LUVS to travel and she knows when i pull horses to the pen behind the house we are fixin to head out and all but bounces off the wall. good pup tho, been my travel companion like 8 years now. some days i just want to saddle up and disappear

dont know about the Falcons ... but the quail are quite elusive this weekend ...

im at a bird dog hunting competition, rough weekend for the dogs but awesome for being on a horse (the people are on horseback)
