Hey folks,

Just submitted my first story <yeah for me> so tell me, gang, how long does it usually take to get approved? I'm holding my breath, here!

Chyoo is a very very fickle thing...

Chyoo is a very very fickle thing
Sometimes it takes a few days
sometimes its a few weeks
never really sure
sorry
i really wish i could be more helpful
oh but when you do get approved
you take full control
you become the editor
so you can post threads as often as you like.
Which is cool
hope that helped
Luv,

hehehe

okay I guess I won't hold my breath. Already got most of the story written out so I guess it'll still be fresh when it goes up.

lilguy- you and Ooohkitty were BOTH responsible for me coming down here - our feline friend posted a link on my thread <wink>

Another question

Okay so tell me what the deal with the ratings is?

There kind of like grades in school.

I have yet to figure out why some stories attract so many and such high ratings when they do not seem as well written as other stories. Some people are tough graders handing out 2's and 3's and others give everything they read a 5.

My own stories have attracted a few votes, less then 20, and are rated fairly well it seems, but there seem to be a lot of 1's and 5's. I think some people are confused and think that 1 is good because I have received postive comments back on 1 ratings. I think if everyone rated consistently then it would be good feedback as to which stories were well recieved and what people like to read.

Overall I think the ratings are a good idea, but they should be labeled more clearly so there is no confusion about what is good and what is bad.

<cough> people's friends are voting <cough>

I agree that the voting seems confusing to readers - I had to look twice before selecting a score. I think the problem is that it should go from "sleeping" to "seeping" left to right rather than the other way around.
