I usually look at profiles, and if it doesn't say, then i ask. Wether lit members know for sure what i am, i don't care. I know what i have for body parts..LoL If they doubt me, that's thier problem.
If someone tells me they're female, well then that's what they are, same goes for males. i don't ask for proof. I'm not trying to doubt anyone on here, i mean, i would hate someone to doubt me on my gender.
If someone feels they need proof to as what sex i am, then they're not worth associating with. Just my opinion of course.

I have many times and I think you asked a valid question. I've noticed a number of times the profile doesn't state the sex, and since I can't seem to locate Lit's chatroom these days I hang on the threads when time allows and with some of the user names it's more or less impossible to tell, and as far as asking, it's like eating fish that you have to watch out for the bones, really don't worth the effort, just my opinion of course

I would not worry about offending anyone. Remember you are sitting in front of a screen not a person.
