I observed recently that the standard in men's clothes, the suit (that which many women find very attractive), is pretty standard. Excluding the various stylistic changes that occurred throughout the years, a suit is pretty much a suit. Dresses, on the other hand, vary wildly, even during the same year. At any one time, there may be four or five different dress styles that are considered fashionable. Why is there so much room for expression in female clothing, and relatively little in male? Is it because men have a lesser biological need to express originality?
