However, Ferdinand (the Player, as opposed to Sorbus, the Player Character) only noticed Eryka’s cleavage; and he needed to stop looking at the Dungeon Master’s bosom in order to view his die and declare:

- I rolled a 9!

"Okay upon careful observation of the area you determine that in the area the is about five or six Kobolds hiding behind trees and in bushes"

"Now we roll initiative you get a minus two to your roll for the ambush"

She grabbed her d20 and rolled a 7

"Kobolds have a seven for their initiative"

Following Eryka’s cue, Ferdinand cast his d10. The die tumbled along the surface of the gaming table until it settled on the number 5. Suppressing a curse, without much luck, he exclaimed:

- Fuck! Five... minus the penalty… plus my bonus… that comes to 4 for my initiative.

Mesmerized by her artistic skill, Ferdinand waited for Eryka’s response until he noticed that she rolled a d20 for the kobolds’ initiative. Retrieving the twenty-sided die he used to make the Perception Check, he then let the icosahedron fall back to the tabletop and declared, with barely concealed enthusiasm:

- Can I attack two of the kobolds with my longbow?

- Will there be penalties if I fire at one target? Also, am I at point blank range?
