I'm queer. I'm bisexual. And I see no problem with gays and lesbians adopting. Straight people adopt, why can't queer people? I mean, queerness isn't contagious, it isn't a disease, it's a part of someone's personality. A man can lead a horse to water, 20 cannot make it drink... a kid can have two gay parents, but they can't make him/her gay!
I have a lot of gay friends, who'd like to eventually have kids. Some think about having a surrogate mother bear their children, others think about being artificially inseminated, and others think about adopting.
Like I said, if straight people can do it, queers can, too.
Oh, and lay off the racist comments.

Kids need loving parents, regardless of gender.
Their needs for father figures or male role models can be met in other ways. Yes, children do need to be to identify with an important male in their life.
And from experience, my friend's little guy has a dad who is an asshole. This kid LOVES his two moms and loves bragging about his two moms. (He told my son he has two moms and my little guy asked if he could have another one, too!)
I am all for gay and lesbian adoption. The most happy and well adjusted children have two happy and loving parents....non gender specific.

The issue is not about whether the adopted parents are gay or straight but rather their ability to provide a happy, loving environment forthe kid to grow up in.
Kids dosn't really give a shit about sexuality but they do thrive on love, attention and positive parenting.
