Simple question, for those in blue collar jobs with typically straight men, are you in or out of the closet? I'm IN, but I do find that most people these days really don't care anymore. Anyone who is out, I still think that you're quite brave.

I'm a closeted married Bi guy who works construction. As the years go by more guys are coming out. So now it seems like there's at least one openly gay guy on every larger job site.

In the closet while working, still "in" (except to a few) in retirement. Retired law enforcement supervisor. I had one openly gay subordinate on my watch who had no problem with support from co-workers....in no small part because he was the biggest most muscular stud on the job. When the shit the fan, they all wanted him around.

Of course government policies and procedures are very protective of workers with "alternative" sexual orientations though I never (knowingly) had any issues on my watch. Maybe it was my 'inclusive" leadership, I don't know, but we all seemed to just get along.
