I know Tennessee it is only legal outside of city limits to sell fireworks for the most part. Some of the backwoods towns haven't passed an ordinance making it illegal to sell fireworks but those are few and far between.

Ahhh but Tennessee has the great fireworks plants you can go to year round.
California on the other hand, has "safe and sane" fireworks, which mean they can make noise nothing else. And those are only legal in some counties.

Cheyenne said:Wisconsin allows them but on a restricted basis, as far as I know. All the really good ones (cherry bombs, M-80's, etc. ) were banned back when I was a kid so it has been at least 35 years since any of them sold in Wisconsin had any kick to them.
Individual cities have their own laws, too. Many even restrict sparklers!
Don't come to Wisconsin to buy your fireworks, in other words. You'll be majorly disappointed.
