I live in the Daytona Beach area and some gas stations are running out of gas.

Other stations that have gas are running the price of a gallon anywhere from $2.86 to $2.99.

How's the price of gas where you are and please name the city so we all know.

Thanks!

Central New Jersey

Paid $2.75 this AM

WhenI drove by the station last Sunday, it was $2.50

Yeah, the prices keep going up. Last night it was around $2.87, and today it is about $2.90 something....the range depending on the exact location of where you are. I'm in Missouri.

I noticed $3.09 (for the 87-proof) this morning -- 'bout an hour outside Pittsburgh.

Just now in NW Iowa, just south of Lake Okoboji: 10% Ethanol - $2.99.9, Premium (90 Octane) is at $3.03.9

It's only gonna go up, kids....tank up now. I know I'm going to on the way to see the nurse.

Shit! I didn't look today. Last night it was about 2.79.9, where I usually go. Guess I know what to expect when I gas up tonight...

*sigh*

Oh, well.

Something along the lines of sticking the pump jack somewhere other than intended....

Filled my tank last night because I was expecting the price to go up. I have to travel this weekend, the prices might just kill me *sigh*

Yep. Somebody's making a tanker full of money out of this tragedy. The guys who pump the gas and take your money didn't get a big raise this morning, the owners of the mom and pop gas stations aren't reserving their first class tickets to Hawaii, the refinery workers aren't popping the champagne, but I bet there's a group of oil company executives somewhere dancing on table tops!

central Va.

3.50 a gallon...don't ask me my opinon...I am just pissed off!!!!!!!

#$&%

Just ran out the the cheapest place in town ... $3.29

They have old, mechanical pumps ... and had set them to record the price by the half gallon because they didn't have the dollar digit above "2."

Chicago area $3.69 and climbing

Wow! Just north of the city (Evanston) I paid #3.09 for regular.

On TV they showed some stations in Atlanta charging $5.00 and up.

Have some perspective people!

This IS our perspective. Our budgets, our economy ... or transport of goods ... are all based upon lower gas prices. The change, regardless of what you pay, is a shock to the system ... just as any such delta would be to yours.

If you check the AAA web site for gas prices, you can see how fast prices are going up: http://198.6.95.31/index.asp
It's got a drop-down box with most major cities listed.
Here around Buffalo, yesterday's average price was $2.676; today, my nearest station had it at $3.10 this afternoon - by tomorrow this'll probably be a bargain.

For the long-distance transportation of goods, yes, I feel your pain. Personal transport and filling up your car, I have no sympathy at all.

We have states bigger than your country. If I lived in England, I'd take the underground, just like the rest of you Brits. If you lived here, you'd take a car just like a regular ol' Joe Sixpack. You'd probably watch Nascar too.

Don't be a shit.

And that effects the prices of those goods on the shelves. Everything is related.

Nor did I ask for any. Right now, I'm loving my 50+ mpg hybrid.

Couture, don't be a wanker. I'm simply pointing out that, while you guys are moaning about $3 a gallon, we've had to deal with at least £0.80 a litre for several years now.

Count yourselves lucky. It's not a case of you getting unfairly screwed over; you've been luckier than most people for a long time.
