I always ment to get that CD but never seemed to pick it up. Giving Steve Howe a crack a jinglebell rock might be a good idea too.

Where's Axl?

THAT would have to be the $640,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 question of the year. I almost went to that show too. A friend of mine had tix and asked me if i wanted to go. Thank god i hind sight I had to work. Somethings never change. Axl is still an ass and a primadonna who ruined one of the world's best bands.

Probably stoned in a hotel room while 25000 people wait for him to take the stage.
Speaking of Howe's....Brian Howe was always one of my fave rock singers....He sang for Bad Company on a few albums.

Oh, that was the name of the guy who they got to replace Paul Rogers! Not a bad voice. I don't envy him that trying to step into that vocal slot though. And, peaking of Brians, what about Brian May? Nobody else around who sounds like that. Only he can sound like him!

Not only can Steve Vai play but he can produce. With only scraps of borrowed equipment (from Frank Zappa) Via did some of his best work. It is sad mainstream cannot put down the "great beat Dick I can really dance to it" attitude and find some better tunes.

I'll agree with that. Some of the voices aren't too bad, but the material is absolute shit. Think of it like old days at Motown. All song and dance bull that was written by others, played by others (granted amazing musicans, James Jamerson, Carol Kaye, et al.)but the groups themselves were nothing special. Stax on the othe hand was blessed with both great musicans (Booker T. & the MG's) and amazing singers (Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett).
