A friend of mine is raising meat chickens! I told her I wanted in on the butchering process. Never seen it done before.

Dang. Only my herbs are ready. Our weather has been too cool. I had celery juice, hazelnut bread, toasted, and cottage cheese and pineapple. Am headed to the store in search of good fresh produce. So far I'm not finding much.

I have jalapeños, ghost pepper, habaneros, sweet bell and hot bell peppers, sweet and hot banana peppers. Cucumbers. Tomato’s and eggplant just coming in. Yes I am in the country, but nothing like fresh veggies. Almost like eating them as much as...well you know. Lol

Worthwhile, fresh bird is fantastic....home raised on bugs and quality feed instead of soy/corn trash makes for better meat and eggs. Especially if you're around the house a lot.

I do that and I never thought to call it "the butchering process". I'm not super sure what you're talking about.

I was raised around chickens though so it's like... no one has ever told me to 'butcher' a chicken so I don't know what step that is. I've butchered a hog. I actually don't think I've ever butchered a deer, either. I've dressed and cleaned a deer, I've culled a chicken. I... I might not know what words mean.
