India: family getting ready for one kid's birthday party; baby starts fussing, dad takes him out to terrace where monkeys attack and throw baby off third floor terrace, enter house threatening rest of family.
it's not uncommon for monkeys to snatch other monkey babies, and there's a growth in their kidnapping of dogs... both actions seen as aiming to get a higher social position. How often do they snatch human babies and then immediately throw them to their deaths? damn. Increase in competition for habitat due to population rises/habitat destruction? Seriously angry psycho monkey leading troop?
