A friend of mine is treating me to a trip to Atlantic City today, so I'm taking a break from job hunting and getting on the bus she reserved, and off I go! Unfortunately, I really must try and stay away from the casinos since I'm broke. (Well, maybe I'll drop a few dolllars in some nickel machines! They have lots of fun ones now ("Texas T"; "Fortunte Cookie"; "I.C.Money"), but it should be a nice warm day so I'll try to keep myself out on the boardwalk!)

I enjoy spending hours at the various slot machines. I have ventured to the "Let It Ride" and "Roulette" tables a few times, but without the funds I avoid them altogether.

So I'm curious to know how many of you enjoy gambling, whether you prefer slots or table games, and how often do you indulge yourself to a trip to a casino?

Slots

Personally I prefer slots. Been to Bossier City 4 times and hit the jackpot 3 times on quarter slots so I never change a good thing.

Does playing video games and the freebies on the net count? ;)

I have never seen a real slot machine, but thats what i would want to play if I could.

Accepting that Poker is a game of skill,

I don't gamble.

Saving money!

Well, my plans fell through as I spent a restless night only to wake up with a 100 degree fever! So my friends are headed there now, while I'm trying to clear my head and get my fever down.

I've watched some of the poker championships on TV; pretty intense stuff!!

Now I'll try and arrange a trip to A.C. the week that Oman is visiting. (However, if we go, I don't think we'll be very interested in anything but the free room I get comped for!):D

My most successful slots winnings was also on a quarter machine, winning $500 (Double Jeopardy). I was speechless, but managed to treat my friends for lunch that day!

I play slots for fun with the wife and that's all - just fun! The odds are extremely for the house. Pure Gamble!
Table games are less gamble but each of those varies in the degree of house odds.
Poker and Blackjack are the two most popular card games but your odds are much worse in blackjack than poker.
Played properly poker is a game of skill, especially Texas Holdem' and Omaha style poker games.
If your not at a table often and keep your skill finely tuned your best bet is to just have fun!
