Gag strap problem

I'm here to discuss a recent problem about a gag strap of mine. My slave has a temper and while ball gagged, tries to push the ball with his tongue. I've come to the conclusion that he is incapable of pushing a certain variety of gags, which have more holes and the leather straps are non-stretchy.

He's 5'9' (175 cm.), 129 pounds (Saw his health app), gym lad with decent muscle work and fighting spirit. I discovered that he's very determined to free his mouth and pushes as hard as he can until he achieves his goal. With that ball gag, he gets it a little past his teeth but after a couple of seconds, it pops back in and fails to escape, which makes him more frustrated and turns hot blooded. I could make him stop struggling with a simple front choke hold or an average smack on the butt or face. That would turn him on even more but it ruins the fun, watching him try to get to my body with brute force.

I of course was very delighted and relieved by doing my job well, but after the session, I grew worried to see that the hole of the strap which I used to buckle him with, was getting worn out. The hole isn't circular anymore. After a couple of sessions, he probably would be able to escape and tear out the hole so he can smile triumphantly like always do. It's important to hold my prisoner nice and secure.

Is there a way to reinforce the holes, in a way of making them more durable against feisty tongues? I'm open to different kinds of solutions as well, let me know.

As a former horse person, I can tell you that this is a problem horse people have dealt with forever. Not with gags, of course, but with other horse equipment.

My recommendation is not to use leather. It looks nice, but it stretches and will eventually break under pressure. Horse people use nylon for things like this because nylon is much, much stronger and doesn't have that much stretch in it. It doesn't look as nice, admittedly, but it does work better.

Can you swap the existing straps on your gag(s) out with something stronger? If not, maybe someone else can tell you how you can reinforce your leather straps to work better. Unfortunately, I know nothing about how to do that.

It's great (and maybe a bit intimidating too ) that you so much enjoy watching him fight the gag, rather than discouraging it. From the way you've described the issue, and your stated desire to gag him in a way where he can't push it out or otherwise defeat it, I humbly suggest that maybe a different style gag might be more effective.

The tongue is an amazingly strong muscle, as you've observed with your sub. A traditional ball gag typically rests towards the front of the mouth, which provides opportunity for an enthusiastic tongue to gain purchase and exert leverage behind it in order to push it out. Perhaps he might be unable to overcome alternative gag solutions where the gag is inserted in a way where his renegade tongue is at more of a disadvantage.

One simple solution might be a steel gag with a tongue depressor to keep his tongue in cheek (pun intended.) Something like this maybe?

Or maybe a gag that protrudes farther into his mouth, where he can't get leverage with his tongue? (The penis shape would be humiliating too, lol.)

Or maybe a gag that doesn't have straps at all, but steel instead?

Or perhaps even a "tongue trapper" gag, like shown below. (Sorry for the huge image size.) Also please note that this gag has an adjustable nylon strap with no holes to become elongated later.

While I don’t have a lot of experience with this. We have played with gags and have a couple for specific situations. We know people in our community that use them regularly and have given advice. If they fight it metal will chip teeth. The tongue trapper makes you drool real bad. The gag that protrudes into the mouth works best, if it’s just long enough so the tongue can’t get in front of it to push.
