There's plenty of room for outrage out there, but every case must stand on it's own. It doesn't matter how many miscarriages you come up with, they just don't apply to a different case.

Gaetz was under investigation for sex trafficking, meaning across state lines. The decision to drop the investigation was due to problems with the credibility of the accusers. A polite way of saying their stories were inconsistent. The not so polite way would be to say the investigators thought they were lying.

The federal decision does not say that something may not have occurred but that would be up to the state of Florida to investigate and take action if warranted. I'm sure that the state of Florida has been made aware of any findings the feds came up with so the ball's in the states court.

It is true that Gaetz has political power but that wouldn't necessarily save him from an legal action. The district he represents is SOOOOO red that even if he were to be indicted there would be no change in the political balance of power either nationally or state. He would be much safer from state prosecution if his district were somewhat competitive.

I think you should look for a reputable source other than Business Insider. Something to corroborate their reporting. Some entity that has done their own independent investigation.

Yes, it is difficult for the accuser's and getting even more so as time, and statistics, pile up. Depending on the source of the data anywhere from 17 to 25% of all allegations re. rape and/or sexual assault are false. The more this comes to light the bigger the problem for the accuser, especially without clear forensic evidence.

I can understand your frustration and suspect its source is personal.

I’m not celebrating and am not a Gaetz supporter at all. I think he’s a terrible congressman regardless of the Biden administration’s decision.
