Is there a service, love. Do you know what time? Just to stop and wish her safe passage.

I put this on another thread, couldn't find the right words earlier, but I think now it ought be here:

It is because we love that we see the dark as well as the light, and the light shines from these pages and these people and a tiny child who touched our hearts, she carries a beacon of courage and its light spells love.

beautiful words

service at 11.

Vana, I'm so sorry. There are no words that can comfort a mother's loss, but you have my deepest sympathy.

Sam and Fem, I'm so sorry. You and everyone involved did everything you possibly could have.

Last summer when Vana was in what was essentially a brief coma I posted the following, and have thought about it a lot since:

Last night I was thinking of the tragedies that Vana has had to live through, and was reminded of Job, that most puzzling and troubling book of the Bible. This is not the place to contemplate its possible lessons, but the following occurred to me: Vana has had more than her fair share of tragedy, but she is also possessed of tremendous blessings - a wonderful daughter, close family members who have the goodness to show their love by giving her the space she needs, a stimulating career, and friends like you, Fem, and like Sam.

Perhaps more than anything else, the reason I love and admire Vana so much is this: When her life comes to its conclusion, hopefully not less than about 60 years from now, Vana will be able to look back on a life well and fully lived. She will have no regrets for the things she didn't do.

Just read the news.
The emptiness inside me is bad enough, so how much worse is it for those closest to baby Gabrielle. Vana, Fem, Abs, Sam... my heart goes out to you all.

By way of paying my respects, I've dedicated this years Na No story to Gabrielle. Now I just HAVE to finish it

Chris

You have served a mighty purpose in a very short time, Gabrielle. It is a rare and precious girl that can bring together so many people around a globe of diverse places and situations. You were cherished before you graced us with the beauty of your face, you were cherished every moment your lungs drew breath, and you shall be cherished forever more.

:rose:

Have fun with the angels, sweet baby.

I don't know you and I can't feel your pain but I lost my darling wife on 11/11 eight years ago and I know what pain there is.

Deepest condolences to all.

Up reading this early, as I am off to witness the birth of another life coming into the world... god, how the wheel turns...

There are just no words for the weight of it.

I have no words, only tears...

The Horses
(Kenny Loggins)

We will fly way up high
Where the cool winds blow
Or in the sun laughing having fun
With all the people that we know
If the situation should keep us separated
I know the world won't fall apart
You will free the beautiful bird
Caught inside your heart

Can you see her oh she flies so proud
Cast her wild wings over water and cloud

That's the way it's gonna be little darling
We'll go riding on the horses
Way up in the sky little darling
If you fall I'll pick you up, pick you up

You will grow until you go
I'll be right there by your side
And even then a whisper the wind
And she will carry up your life
I hear all the people of the world
In my one bird's lonely cry
I see them trying every way they know how
To make their spirits fly

Can you see her moonlight in her eye
Coming from under my wing
You were born to fly

That's the way it's gonna be, little darling
We'll go riding on the horses
Way up in the sky little darling
If you fall I'll pick you up, pick you up
