Did you go to graduate school?

If so what were your reasons? Further your education? Better paying job? Didn’t want to leave school?

Did it significantly aid you in your career?

In your opinion, is experience more important than more education?

I graduate in May with my bachelor’s degree, and am looking at grad school. With the career field I am going into, it seems necessary. However, there are many people who get awesome jobs right out of college. How did grad school impact you?

I'm completing my Master's now. ten years after I graduated with my undergraduate degree.


There is no way I would have finished a graduate program then. I was ready to be in the real world, completely sick of school. It's definitely harder to balance grad school, work, and other obligations later, but I'm much happier than I would have been.


If you're in a field that has NO opportunity without a graduate degree, look seriously at your options. In the end, you will be the one who makes the difference, not a degree.
