png is a Portable Network Graphic, image. its generally smaller than .jpg and .gif and the loss isnt as bad as .jpg

It should open fine if you have interentet explorer 4 or greater.

I can't tell you about nutscrape though. youll have to check there website for that one.

My system treats PNG files as Quicktime movies with IE5. They don't display nearly as fast as JPeg files do.
