Went for a ride today, nothing special just a short tool down to the hardware store and back.
As I'm pulling into the hardware store I noticed in my mirrors a Moto Cop right behind me. I find a parking spot away from the cars and climb out of the saddle. As I'm doing this he pulls in beside me and parks as well. I pull off my helmet and ask if there's a problem as he clombs off.
"No problem" he says as he walks around my bike looking at it. "I've just never seen a bike like that, what kind is it?"
Well we start talking and one thing leads to another. He's intrigued by my bike and asks if he can take it for a short ride.
"Sure" I said with a grin as I looked at his ride. (Harley Davidson Road King.) "Sure, if I can give yours a test ride."
Well we talk a bit and then head over to the station where he has his personal bike, another Road King. Shortly after that back on the road we went. Him on my bike and me on his Road King.
Ten miles of road later we pull back into the station parking lot with smiles on our faces. His bike was nice to ride, comfortable, a bit louder than I like and more Vibration but comfortable and fun to ride. He seemed to like my bike with it's acceleration and turning radius.
It's always nice to meet another rider with an open mind.
