Trump will be sharing his favorite
fast food with a South Carolina
sports team. Photo-op with
winners.

The losers will be losing
hard earned businesses
future happiness
family inheritance
higher education
life-saving loans
medical coverage
food stamps
farms
jobs
dignity
security
dreams
homes
cars
trucks
meals
sleep

After Trump said he would claim
the mantle of the responsibility of
initiating the Shutdown
Trump has claimed that he was
forced by others.

Trump whines.
Not his fault.
Others are to blame.

Just before the Shutdown,
Trump insured that children
and families would go hungry.

In the prisons for children
the food was spoiled or
rotten before the Shutdown.
If only the migrant children
could be invited for a feast.

Sadly, a lesson may be learned
by these happy young men
invited to the feast

Nothing for free.

They may feel the need
for a bath, when the night
is over.

Some of Trump's inner circle
of winners will experience
prison. Most experience
insults, degradation, regret.

Another photo-op with fast food and football players, in the White House.

Malevolent Melania is missing, again.

tRump wants to be the star of the show.

If they sat the team down to a real White House lunch, Melania would have to do some work and coordinating. No steak, and beautiful chocolate cake, for poor, young, university football players.

Yep, more fast food for the MEN players. The Internet is noting that he hasn't received any women's teams. The video from today is interesting. There's a player in the very back, standing next to Pence, who isn't delighted about being there.

Young adults were not warned by their own Senator John Hoven, that tRump uses everyone within reach for political purposes. There were many unhappy and angry faces in the crowd of young football players that attended the event with tRump. Did everyone lie to the young football players ? Did the adults tell them it would not be political, but ceremonial ?

They were used to set the stage, set the mood, and to provide bit characters and extras for tRump's photo-op and propaganda session.

Addressing North Dakota State Bison college football players he was hosting at the White House and served a spread of fast food, some of whom chuckled at his remarks, Trump said, “You’re going to learn about that as you grow older..It’s a political hoax. there’s no collusion...Folks go and eat up.”

Proud of the Bison for being so gracious. Esp. since the team of 108 showed up at 2:30 a.m. to leave for DC. They waited on risers awkwardly for 30 minutes for a photo with president that never happened. Then were greeted by fast food feast.

Trump can't be bothered to celebrate women's sports champions, even with cold fast food

‘Where are the women’s teams?’: Trump ignores women’s champions in White House sports ceremonies

https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...01ffb5bd5e6_story.html?utm_term=.48bd125597ff

Minnesota Lynx Coach-General Manager Cheryl Reeve told reporters at the team’s training camp Wednesday that, almost seven months after winning their fourth WNBA championship in the past seven seasons, the Lynx are still waiting for an invitation to celebrate at the White House.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...trumps-views-on-women/?utm_term=.39e646df7bc7

When the Gamecocks won South Carolina’s first NCAA basketball title in April, Staley said her team would go to the White House if invited, despite the growing public antipathy toward Trump. “It’s what national champions do. We’ll go to the White House,” she said at the time.

Months passed and the White House invitation never came. By late September Staley had moved on from worrying about the honor that had been extended to every NCAA women’s basketball champion since 1983. “We haven’t gotten an invitation yet and that in itself speaks volumes,” she told the AP. She also suggested that the team’s willingness to visit the White House had changed since her previous endorsement, which came before “some things transpired over the last few months.”

Those quotes caught the attention of Nikki Haley, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations and former South Carolina governor. Her office promised that the invitation would come later in the fall but, by the time it did, Staley and her team were no longer interested.

They waited for months. The season started, and they had practice schedules and games.

Too fucking late.

Neither could President Obama. Neither could President Clinton.

President Bush invited NCAA champions from the smaller sports (both men's & women's) to the White House in 2006 and again in 2007. In July of '06, he invited the champs from college sports like swimming & diving, softball, baseball, and about thirty other championship teams. It was very hot & humid out on the south lawn. The ONLY team that looked comfortable in the heat was the Michigan women's softball team, as they wore shorts. All of the other teams were dressed in formal wear.

The following year, Bush greeted the winter sports champs in April, when the weather was nice. As several of the spring sports were still being played, there were fewer teams present, and the weather was much nice for teams dressed in formalwear & gowns. President Bush did something that neither Clinton, Obama, nor Trump have since copied.

Papa John's, served at the White House ?

Will Shaquille O'Neal be invited ?

March 5, 2019

Papa John's has reached a settlement agreement with founder John Schnatter that will see him step down from the company's board.

The agreement comes after more of a year of tussling between the Louisville-based pizza chain and Schnatter, who made a series of racially insensitive remarks that caused sales to plummet. Schnatter stepped down as CEO in late 2017 and resigned as chairman in July after facing backlash for blaming disappointing sales on NFL player protests and used the N-word during a company conference call.

Under the settlement, Schnatter and the board will mutually agree on an independent director who will replace Schnatter on the company's nine-member board. If a new director isn't named prior to Papa John's 2019 annual shareholders meeting on April 30, Schnatter's term will expire at the meeting, according to a regulatory filing.

tRump had many visitors today.

President Donald Trump welcomed Alex Ovechkin and the reigning NHL champion Washington Capitals to the Oval Office on Monday to congratulate them for winning the Stanley Cup in June.

Players, coaches and staff members took a private 45-minute tour of the White House and met with Trump in what was a last chance to be around hockey’s sacred trophy as defending champions.

Earlier in the day, the Cup made a brief private visit to the Super Court along with Commissioner Bettman, Deputy Commissioner Daly, NHL general counsel David Zimmerman and Raul Fernandez, vice chairman and owner of Monumental Sports and Entertainment. It was the Cup's first visit to the Supreme Court, where the justices and court employees had an opportunity to view the trophy.

You know how Trumpski promises one thing and then gives a substitute?

How about a Trump-burger to serve the prols?

‘Impossible’ meatless patty gets Burger King Whopper test

On Monday Burger King and Silicon Valley startup Impossible Foods announced the rollout of the Impossible Whopper in 59 stores in and around St. Louis, Missouri.

Plant-based meat substitutes have been gaining popularity as more attention is focused on the environmental hazards of industrial ranching. Finazzo said his research shows customers mainly like it for the health benefits. The Impossible Burger patty has zero cholesterol.

Impossible Foods, based in Redwood City, California, launched its first faux meat patty over two years ago. A genetically modified yeast creates the key ingredient, called heme, which makes the patties appear to bleed and taste like real meat.

"Honest, it tastes like meat and only costs a dollar more!" Such a Deal!

The Baylor women’s basketball team announced Wednesday that it has accepted an invitation to be honored at the White House on Monday, which would make the Lady Bears the first women’s championship team to make a solo visit since President Trump took office.

Baylor said in a news release on its website that Trump would be involved in the ceremony, and a White House official confirmed the report Wednesday afternoon. The visit would come three weeks after the team defeated Notre Dame, 82-81, for the its third national title.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/spor...sketball-team-accepts-white-house-invitation/

The team accepted President Donald Trump's invitation to come visit him at the White House on Monday April 29th. The team will visit that Monday afternoon, and this will be their third trip to the White House in head coach Kim Mulkey's tenure at Baylor University. The team made visits in 2005 and 2012 when they won the championship as well.

Good for Baylor! Going to the White House and meeting with the president is ALWAYS an exciting trip to make!

I remember back in 2006 & 2007 when President Bush invited ALL of the NCAA Championship teams to the White House, including even smaller, lesser-publicized sports like women's softball, swimming & diving, golf, tennis, skiing, and even the national championship NCAA rifle team! Security is understandably tight, but it's an awesome trip to make, and a memorable place to visit!

Ron Klain — a regular MSNBC guest and former chief of staff to both Vice Presidents Al Gore and Joe Biden — told MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace that President Donald Trump is probably glad that white baseball players showed up and some non-white players didn’t at Thursday White House ceremony for the Boston Red Sox.

The Globe’s Adrian Walker said that most fans would focus on the sports part of the day, and the team itself, but also that there was “some feeling” in Boston that Cora ought to have gone to the White House and made his case for Puerto Rico. “But they’ve opted to go in a completely different direction,” he said. Klain built on the point about the event not being first about sports.

“Look sports is supposed to be something that brings us together as a country, and White House visits of sports teams are supposed to be something that bring us together as a country,” said Klain. “And among the many, many sad chapters of Donald Trump is that he relishes in dividing us as a country.”

“I bet he was happy today that he was able to say that the white players were here, and the players of color weren’t,” said Klain. “That’s the kind of division he fosters deliberately. It’s the exact opposite of what presidents, Democrat or Republican, liberal or conservative, are supposed to do around these kinds of events.”

However, when asked about the tour later in the day, it sounded more and more like Trump thought Abraham Lincoln lost the Civil War. You read that right.

Red Sox chairman Tom Werner spoke to reporters after the White House tour and said this happened:

Trump "is a pretty good raconteur of history and he did say that, uh—he was talking about Abraham Lincoln losing the war and said ‘Well, I know you guys have lost a game or two, but this was a war.’
