Star Wars obviously, Empire is the best of the 5 so far, Starship Troopers, Aliens 1-4, the Star Trek movies, the Fifth Element, all the good stuff

Saw the Star Wars movie when first released at a drive-in theater (one of the few left at the time) way up in Northern California. Very foggy there. So foggy the movie couldn't be seen and we were issued fog checks.

Do you watch the continuing incarnations of Star Trek on TV?

Did you at least get to go see it another time at the drive in? I'm sure that would have been cool, I've never been to one before.


I watched alot of Next Generation, most of DS9 and all of Voyager, I haven't watched much of the new one at all, don't really like it.

I watch Enterprise fairly regularly. I'm not sure it's because I like it our I just want to watch T'pol. She's attractive, of course, but I like her character. Complexity and strength.

Truth is I don't watch a lot of television. Having said that, have you watched the now defunct Farscape. I made a point to watch it usually.

Yeah, I used to watch Farscape fairly often, I think it was only the first and second seasons though, then they took it off the channel that it was on and put it on one I didn't I hate when that happens

I liked it. Thought it was smart and really liked the characters. But alas, they always kill the ones I like.

Sure seems that way doesn't it. Just doesn't make sense, why would they cancel a show, when so many people like it, so stupid.

It was expensive for one thing. More complex special effects. And new effects every show. If you notice many of the Sci-Fi shows have a set of effects that they use over and over. Much cheaper.

LOTR and Gladiator are great, I couldn't stand Harry Potter though, awful movies

I loved LOTR.. thought gladiator was a slight rip off from Braveheart , hated harry porter (have seen only 1 where that villan has a head on the back of his head).. and didn't like troy.. oh and alexander - didn't see that movie after reading reviews

Well, I wouldn't call it a rip-off from Braveheat (another great movie) It's just that they are the same style of movie, the epic war type thing.
Troy was great, haven't seen Alexander though, I'll see it when it's out on video probably.

uh... I got a nerd score of 61

Gladiator i thought copied the way the emotional scenes were taken.. dead wife, the soothing music and the flashbacks of the face etc.. other than that i enjoyed both movies

Not much else you can do with those kinds of movies though is there And really, don't we all watch them for the huge fight scenes and hunky lead actor lol
