Here's a fun game thread that I originally saw on another board.

The first poster has to think of a person's name.

The next poster has to add up the letters of the name, where A stands for 1 , B is 2, etc. Then they have to take a year in history, and find a famous person who was born or died in that year. Then they take the number, and add it to the year, and subtract which ever number they had in mind before, (or after) that year. If that person's name ends with the same letter as the year (e.g 'X' - 1066) then they can choose "wildcard", which is just the same as an ordinary turn, only, they don't have start with 'A'. For example, 'C' could be 1, 'D' could be 5 (i.e. 1 + 4), etc. If they add up to the same as the previous person, then it's considered "twins", which means the first person has to go again, but obviously with a different number.

Okay?

I'll start.

You'd better warn somebody before posting something like that, Joe.

Okky Olli Ong (Hawaiian ukuleleiist and pop singer, ca. 1960)

Triple Bonus points because 'O' is not a prime number if I've played the Melbourne Shift, which I obviously have (to great effect too, I might add).

I used to play this game with the rest of my platoon as we sat around the burning Kuwaiti oil wells. It helped pass the time.

Next?

It's too fucking late on a Saturday night to start with intelligent party tricks. You should have started much, much earlier ...
